White Christmas from Stampin’ Up! using a sketch

Don’t forget the one week only fantastic starter kit offer is on nowvisit here to find out about the kit for £74.25!

I had a play with the White Christmas stamp set and some glitter at the weekend!  It was fun, I have been in such a rush lately so I settled down to catch up on Saturday and spend the whole day up to my elbows in ink and glitter!

The sketch this week was to make a card which moved and it just felt right to use the circle thinlits card dies.  I wanted to try and make the card base longer than normal though so that it would fit inside a DL envelope and as it turns out it was remarkably easy.  I simply ran the die 2/3 of the way through the big shot but not all the way so that it didn’t chop off the base of the card. I then continued the score lines made with the die and just made it extra long!

It gave me some scope to stamp and colour the tree images and add glitter to the branches before adding the card image to the circle flip part and the snowman to the reverse.

I used the naturals white cardstock as it adds a fleck which is perfect for this snowy scene.  Here is the sketch I used –

I never would have thought to use it as a snow wonderland, but it really works out well.
You know I have this set, but it fears me a little with the coloring which has to come with this set. Maybe you pushed me over the edge and I will give it a try anyway.
