Beautiful Bouquet from Stampin’ Up!

Look at the beautiful array of flowers in the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up!  It pairs beautifully with the Jar of Love stamp set which I wanted to use as we are casing Steffi Helmschrott at the Global Design Project this week.

Beautiful Bouquet from Stampin Up

I really enjoyed stamping and die cutting several of the flowers from the Beautiful Bouquet set and then arranging them in the jar from Jar of Love.  I stamped the jar with versa mark and heat embossed it in white embossing powder and heat set it in vellum which was over laid onto a stamped grey jar to add a little dimension.

It meant I could also tie a bow around the top of the jar and secure it in place.

I stamped the greeting using a berry burst marker and a base grey marker and used the Berry Burst to pick out the words picked and friend.

I added a hand drawn line around the edge and a little strip of patterned paper to add some interest.

We are casing Steffi Helmschrott from Germany this week at the Global Design Project.

Fancy Friday using Elements of Style and the Butterfly Bigz Die

fancy friday
I hope you are not fed up with more cards made with the Elements of Style stamp set.  This was one of the cards we made at my monthly technique class and was fairly simple to make but very effective.

Butterfly-close-to-my-heart

First off we stamped the flower stamp in whisper white ink over the crumb cake card base and drew a line around the edge using a signo gel pen.  We then cut a flag/banner piece from a piece of patterned paper.  We stamped a gray oval using the chevron stamp from Oh Hello and cut it out using the matching oval framelits.  This was mounted in the centre of the card front and the flag/banner mounted over the top with the for you sentiment from the same set stamped in black ink.

Lastly we cut a butterfly from the Butterfly bigz die using whisper white cardstock and then stamped the flower image using basic gray ink.  FInally we looped the linen thread around to fingers approx 3/4 times, twisted it in the middle and stuck it in place with several glue dots.  Finally a Summer Starfruit Dahlias was stuck in place in the centre of the linen thread.
