Rose Wonder from Stampin’ Up!

This week at the Global Design Project we are casing the designer Shawn Olivera.  Shawn makes beautiful cards, you really need to pop over to his blog to see the stuff he creates as you will be blown away.  He used the beautiful Rose Wonder dies to create his card and its our job this week to case his card.  Here is my card made using Rose Wonder.

Rose Wonder from Stampin Up

How did I make this clean and elegant card?
  • Die cut the largest flower twice and layer the die cut to make it thicker.
  • Snip off the leaves to separate them from the main flower.
  • Glue the die cut to whisper white card and coloured the inside relief area with watercolour pencils.
  • Add Wink of Stella to add some sparkle.
  • Score around the edge of the card base using my scoring tool twice to add an embossed frame.
  • Stamp the sentiment from the Better Together stamp set in Smoky Slate Ink.
  • Cut the leaves and stick them so they nestled behind the main flower head.
  • Stick the rose and leaves to the card front with dimensionals to give depth and dimension.

I really hope you join is with this weeks challenge, this is the card we are casing…

Wood Crate from Stampin’ Up!

This week at the Global Design Project we have been given a theme of Cooking, Baking & Making.  I really wanted to ink up my retired Perfect Mix stamp set one more time before it retires as it was such a firm favourite and an obvious choice. paired it with the brand new coming in June Wood Crate die and made a cute little table favour or gift which hold 3 biscuits wrapped in a cello bag and the new powder pink ribbon – swoon!

I created the greeting using another new stamp set called Label Me Pretty and the matching pretty label punch.  I stamped in early espresso ink and then stamped again in dapper denim and cut around the kitchen word and raised it up with dimensionals  and added an enamel heart.  I stamped the pudding bowl and the oven gloves from Perfect Mix and cut around them to add a little whimsical touch.  Pretty sure it would work just as well with the bowl and gloves but I just couldn’t resist.

So why don’t you join this weeks challenge and make something using the same theme, we love to see what you have made!

Bike Ride from Stampin’ Up! for #GDP085

I have a sneak peek for you today, the new stamp set is called Bike Ride and has matching framelit dies too.  This week at the Global Design Project we are using our favourite 3 In Colours from 2015-2017 and saying a fond farewell.

Bike Ride from Stampin Up

I decided to use Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron.  I will be really sad to say goodbye to these pretty colours but the new In Colours make it a little easier as they are gorgeous too, see the new In Colours here….

Isn’t the bike gorgeous from the Bike Ride stamp set.  It has so many individual components that you can really customise it with different stamps and colours and make it truly your own.

Bike Ride from Stampin' Up!

The paper in the background is a new stack of 6×6″ patterned paper in wood textures.  The greeting is from a new set callee Colorful Seasons.  We were all given this set at the recent OnStage event but without the matching framelits so I had to hand cut the bike this time, now I cannot wait for pre-order to get my hands on the dies too!

I really hope you will join us this week and share a project made using your 3 favourite In Colours from the ones shared below.

So let’s pop on over to the Global Design Project to see what the rest of the design team have made with their fave 3 In Colours – be prepared to be WOWED!
