Everyday Hero from Stampin Up perfect for Fathers Day

Today I am sharing a card for the Global Design Project.  This card would be perfect for Father’s Day

I decided to use Everyday Hero Stamp set from Stampin Up as I had already created a card which fit the sketch and I wanted to share it as it was a make at our recent team training event.

Everyday Hero from Stampin Up

It looks pretty normal on the outside but its a hidden message card, like the one I made here (instructions and link to the originator are here). I adore the skyline in this set!

When you open the card the hidden message appears in the window where the WOW was previously.

Everyday Hero from Stampin Up Fathers Day

And my superhero pops in to say ‘You’re Incredible’.  This would make a perfect Fathers Day card and there is a lady superhero too so you could also make it for Mothers Day!

Everyday Hero from Stampin Up

I coloured the super hero using watercolour pencils and use the layering circle framelit dies to cut the circle and the frame for the circle in black.

Here is this weeks sketch and we would love you to join us and make your own card and share it on the Global Design Project website.#GDP078

Pop on over to the Global Design Project to see what the other design team members have made.

All the supplies I have used are available in my online shop simply by clicking any of the images below.  If you would like to place an online order and it is £20+ please use the monthly hostess code to receive a free thank you gift from me.

Everyone who used the code in February received a free stylised birthday wooden stamp and a handmade card as a thank you.  You never know what you are going to get and my customers tell me they love the surprise landing on their doormat each month.

Dragonfly Dreams Bee Card from Stampin’ Up!

This weeks challenge at the Global Design Project is to make a card featuring a winged creature! I love bumble bees. I fell in love with this chubby little chap as soon as I saw the Dragonfly dreams stamp set.

Dragonfly Dreams Bee Card

Isn’t the bee beeautiful?  I stamped onto watercolour paper which was cut out with our stitched framelit dies (which are still available but not in a catalogue, click the link in the items used at the bottom of this post if you wish to order) which I love as you get three shapes of dies in 3 sizes for each shape and 12 dies in total.

I then coloured with our marker pens and a blender pen and outlined him with a sahara sand marker.  The card base is made from Kraft cardstock and I stamped the bee in black ink.  It looks so striking on the kraft background.

I then finished it off with our gorgeous burlap ribbon and linen thread.

We would love you to play along this week at the Global Design Project and made something using the challenge outlined below.  Pop on over to the Global Design Project to see what the other design team members have made and also see the instructions on how to play along.

Dragonfly Dreams – Bumble Bee Cards

Dragonfly Dreams is a beautiful stamp set but its not all about dragonflies!  There is one cute chubby little bumble bee image in there too and the sentiments are lovely!

Dragonfly Dreams Bee Happy

I made this super simply card using our bundle bee stamp and cut it out and lightly coloured the wings with grey ink and the body with crushed curry and a blender pen.   A little line of dots and a cute sentiment was all that was needed to finish this simple card off,

Our little bee friend is raised on a dimensional.

If you would like our bumble bee in your life then simply click the image below for the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set to add him to your shopping basket and be sure to add the monthly hostess code to receive a free thank you gift from me.

Endless Thanks from Stampin’ Up!

Following on from my card yesterday for the InKing Royalty blog hop I have another card made using the same style using the Endless Thanks stamp set (one of my favourite stamp sets).  I love the clean style of this card and the white space make the flower stamps pop.

Endless Thanks raised greeting card

The hello sentiment is cut from Hello You Thinlit dies.  I cut three lots of smoky slate ‘hello’ words and one in white and glued them together to create height and dimension.

Endless Thanks Close Up

I finished off the flowers with enamel dots.

All the supplies I used to make the card are shown below, simply click this link to go to my shop to place an online order.  Please use the hostess code when spending £20+ to receive a free thank you gift from me.  If you spend £45 you can also choose a free sale-a-bration, see the leaflet on the right to see the free items available.

3 more items will be added to the free sale-a-bration offering on Tuesday 21st Feb, so not long to wait…

Hey Chick stamps free during Sale-a-bration

Thanks for popping by today.  I am sharing a card I made for a colour challenge with the Global Design Project using the Hey Chick stamp set which is free during our amazing offer Sale-a-bration.

Hey Chick free during Sale-a-bration

Love this crazy looking chicken and I created the chick wire back ground by using our Hexagons Dynamic Embossing Folder and Inking one side of the folder with black ink so that it stamped and embossed the design in swipe through the big shot.

I then punched out a circle of cardstock and then cut into the circle to create the opening for the chicken.

Hey chick free during saleabration

I then grunged up the edges and inked the edges with a sponge and the Basic Grey Ink.  The chicken itself was stamped on whisper white and coloured using our wonderful watercolour pencils and a blender pen.

As I mentioned this week at the Global Design Project it is a colour challenge and these are the colours you can use to make your own project and share with us to be in with a chance of being the weekly winner and being a guest designer.
