New Home stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

I have a new home card to share with you using the Flying Home stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

Flying Home from Stampin Up

When I saw this cute bird and babies in a nest I thought of ‘flying the nest’ so I felt it lends itself to a new home card.

I used the greetings from the Home Life stamp set which were perfect.

Here is how I made the card

  • Stamp the bird and nest onto whisper white in Black Memento Ink.
  • Colour the image with Stampin’ Blends (not shown in the photo below).
  • Punch out a circle using the 2″ circle punch and with the relief I framed the image but left some of the stamp overhanging the outside of the circle and drew a pencil line.
  • Cut around the over hanging parts of the image with scissors.
  • Position the image into the punch and made sure to have the overhang inside the base of the punch so it was not cut off.
  • Simply rub out the pencil line and mount onto a scallop circle from the layering circle framelits and a large smoky slate circle.

The cloud background was created with the Pattern Party Decorative Masks and Smoky Slate and Soft Sky Ink and a sponge.

The greeting from the Home Life stamp set was stamped on Basic Grey ink and I used my new stamparatus to position the greeting perfectly!  It is amazing, I cannot wait for you to get your hands on one!

Hearts Come Home from Stampin’ Up!

I think my favourite stamp set/bundle from the Autumn/Winter seasonal catalogue is the Hearts Come Home Bundle.  It screams Christmas but as it has houses I knew I wanted to be able to make a New Home Card.

New Home Card using Hearts Come Home

I stamped the little houses in a row and used a piece of washi tape as a guide to stamp my houses straight.  I stamped them in memento black ink and used my stamp-a-majig to get even spacing.

I heat embossed one of the houses and cut around it and raised it up with dimensionals to add focus to one house.

The greetings are from Home Life on page 148 of the annual catalogue.  I love it has a ‘on your new home greeting’ and ‘on starting a new home together’ and I decided to heat emboss the greeting.

Congratulations was stamped onto the banner and raised up with dimensionals.

I even went mad and stamped more houses inside….

Don’t you love how I created a New Home card using what looks like a traditional Christmas Stamp set.  Just goes to show, a stamp set is for life not just for Christmas – boom boom!

All the items I used are available from my online shop, please use the monthly hostess code if you order via my online shop and spend £20+.

Coming Soon In The City from Stampin’ Up!

I have a little something to share today that is coming soon in the new catalogues.  From 1st June we have a brand new annual catalogue and one of the new hostess sets at the back of the catalogue is called In The City and its definitely going to be one of my new faves.

In the City from Stampin Up

It is a really fun set with lots of building, vehicles and greetings that is going to create the most adorable cards.  There are 60, yes sixty stamps in the set and its photopolymer and £14.50.

What is a Hostess Set?

I mentioned its a hostess set but just in case you don’t know what that means…

There are stamp sets at the back of the annual catalogue which are unique and subsidised and not for general sale.  You can choose one of these sets if the sales from your order reach £150 or if you host a party or a private class and the sales from that event are £150.  You can also club together orders from you and your friends and benefit from the hostess rewards.

Be sure to check out the hostess rewards as the most you spend the more you have to spend your hostess rewards on.  You can also purchase any current items with your hostess rewards or a combo of main catalogue items along with a hostess set (which are vastly subsidised).  The In the City set would normally retail at £24 but as a perk its £14.50!

In the City Sampler from Stampin up

I went a little crazy as I had some new home cards to make 🙂  There was a lot of masking but its really easy to stamp and you can choose if you colour the inside of the buildings with the matching stamp.

Come and see what else is coming in the new catalogue by requesting a copy to be posted out to you direct.  My first batch of catalogues left today and will all be arriving by the end of May.

New Home card using Holiday Home from Stampin Up!

I have SO many cards to send at the moment and I needed a new home card and the new Holiday Home set in the new seasonal was just perfect as it has three styles of house to use!
newhome card made using Holiday Home from Stampin Up
I stamped the houses in Smoky Slate Ink all along the bottom of the card and then stamped and coloured one of the houses.  I used the matching homemade holiday framelits to cut out the house and mounted it on dimensionals.  I used an aqua painter and the regular dye inks to colour in the house.  The little red heart punch out is from the owl punch.

The stamp set is pretty versatile and has so many images and can be used for a multitude of occasions.

So wishing you all a great day whatever you choose to do!
