Lovely Inside & Out Bundle for the Global Design Project

I have a card to share for the Global Design Project sketch challenge using the Lovely Inside & Out Bundle from Stampin’ Up!

Lovely Inside & Out from Stampin Up

It is a very simply sketch and I really encourage you to join in this week and share what you make using the sketch for inspiration.

Here’s how I made it

I used a brand new designer series paper coming in the new autumn/winter catalogue for the background of my card, isn’t it lovely.  You really are in for a treat in September 🙂

I layered the paper and burlap ribbon to give an earthy/natural feel and added the greeting from the Lovely Inside & Out stamp set and cut the ‘hugs’ die cut word from the Lovely Words Thinlits.

I added some gold foil to two of the corners for something different and then fussy cut a small spring of leaves to accent the hugs word. A final wrap of linen thread and it was complete.

Really simply, let’s go and see what the other design team members have made using the same sketch and be sure to check out how to enter this weeks challenge over at the Global Design Project

Father’s Day – Nailed It from Stampin’ Up!

I have a cute little Fathers Day project to share with you using the Nailed It stamp set and a sneak peek of the Wood Crate Framelits coming in the new catalogue on 1st June.

Nailed It and Wood crate from Stampin up

I presented a product spotlight at the recent Stampin’ Up! OnStage event in Amsterdam and shared the wonderful new Wooden Crate framelit dies.
I cut out the crate and stamped it with the hardwood background stamp and sponged the edges to give it some dimension.

I cut off the base of the crate and added two horizontal inserts inside the box so that the box can fold flat and it is also somewhere for the tools to stick to to keep them in place inside the crate.

I stamped and handcut the tools from the Nailed it stamp set.  This set is still available in our retiring product sale as it won’t be carried over although the matching framelits are no longer available which is a shame but I did not own the framelits so I simply hand cut the shapes out.

I shredded some burlap ribbon and stuck clumps inside the crate to add more texture and hide the inserts.

The greeting ‘You’re the best’ is from the Urban District stamp set which is retiring but still available, not for long I suspect so don’t wait around to get your order in.

Don’t forget we have the Eastern Palace Suite available as an early release.

There are so many options using these stamps and dies and using the new InColours and heavy weight very vanilla cardstock too! Click the image below of any of the supplies shared below as they will take you direct to my shop.

Window Box Thinlits – Gorgeous Wedding Favour Box

For this weeks entry at the Global Design Project we are sharing a 3D or off the page project and I have opted to use the NEW Window Box Thinlits.  This truly versatile and beautiful die would make perfect wedding favours or a beautiful box to hold confetti!

The brilliant thing about the die set (which contains 9 seperate dies) is that you can decide what pattern you cut out in the lid and around the side as there are 4 interchangeable dies.  You also can purchase the matching stamp set called Window Shopping and can make beautiful accents for this box or other cards and projects.

Here is the box with an electric tea light inside which gives a lovely flickering light.  I wrapped the box in burlap and mint macaroon ribbon and heat embossed the sentiment onto vellum and layered onto matching mint macaroon cardstock.

I plan to make a ton of these boxes to create a centrepiece for my dining table, imagine how pretty they would look?

Shall we pop on over to see what the wonderful design team of the Global Design Project have made?  Please join us this week and make something that is 3D or Off the Page and play along!

And that my friends has been my blogging and todays Global Design Project post. Please pop on over to the blog to see the cards the wonderful design team have created and we would love you to participate this week also.

A few weeks ago I went to the Netherlands to attend two team meetings.  I have a team of demo’s across Europe and was invited to go along and meet with some of my Dutch team members.  It was a whistle stop tour as I arrived Friday evening and finalised our plans for the team event the next day with Caro & Helene and her team of Creative Hearts.

They love to get my up early and with the one hour time difference it meant it was super early for me 🙂

I was so proud of Caro and Helene, they put on a splendid event with lots of fun, prizes, training, crafting, ideas and lots and lots of cake.  That is one thing you can guarantee there will be at a Stampin Up event – CAKE!

I took a little gift along for Caro & Henny and found these cute little tags in my local florist.  I had to make a gift box to house the pretty soap and used my envelope punch board to create the perfect sized box to hold the handmade soap.

The soap smelled divine!

Caro & Helene held an full day filled with class ideas, training topics along with some cool projects, here is a little snapshot of what we got up to….

So much inspiration, fun and laughter and I enjoyed every minute with this awesome bunch of women.  I was then whisked off to the train station by the lovely Ilse (still giggling now Ilse about getting out of the car at the traffic lights 🙂 and headed off to Lemmer in the North of Holland to meet with the wonderful Henny another team member of mine.

Henny and her husband collected me from the station and took me to my hotel where we had a lovely dinner and got to know one another better.  It had started to snow and we had a fine layer the next morning but it did not stop Jan from collecting me from the hotel and taking me back to their beautiful home where they made me very welcome. I was captivated by the view from their beautiful apartment.Stampin Up team meeting in the Netherlands with Michelle Last

It is so lovely to see more of the Netherlands.  Simon and I did live near Eindhoven many many years ago but I can honestly tell you I have seen more of the Netherlands since I have been a Stampin up demo and had team members there!

Henny, Febe & Henriette spent the day getting to know one another better.  It was a wonderful chance to answer their questions and do some crafting together.  We had a fabulous lunch and before I knew it, it was time for Henny & Jan to take me to the airport so I could head home.   I arrived home, tired, happy and very grateful for the opportunity to spend time with these wonderful women and get to know them all a little better.

The brief list of supplies I used to make the boxes for the soap are shown below.  We have a new hostess code launched today so if you place an online order for £20+ (and less than £150)  simply add the code to receive a free thank you gift from me.

And if you want to be part of our wonderful team and buy the starter kit for £99 read this information and click the sign up link and grab yourself £160 worth of stampin up goods and be part of something wonderful!
