Party Pandas FREE from Stampin’ Up!

I inked up the adorable Party Pandas for our team meeting last night and created this card as a make and take.  The Party Panda stamp set is free during saleabration with any order of Stampin’ Up! products of £45+. I cased the idea for this card from Anni Karten.

Party Pandas from Stampin Up

How I created my Panda Card

  • Stamp the pandas onto whisper white cardstock and cut around each Panda.
  • Punch out three circles using the 1 3/4″ punch and used a sponge dauber to add a circle of ink.  You can simply add coloured circles from cardstock or patterned paper or create your own background.
  • Position the Pandas in each circle so they are at jaunty angles.
  • Stamp the greeting and add the balloon and a hand drawn line for the balloon string.
  • Two enamel dots added a little pompom on the birthday hat and the balloon, hat and heart were coloured with our Stampin’ Blends.
  • Pretty simple to make and would look great with a blue colour way too!Shop during Saleabration and get FREE itemsStampin Up Saleabration

#GDP069 Lovely as a Tree from Stampin Up

This week at the Global Design Challenge we are sharing a colour challenge.  I used the Lovely as a Tree set of stamps and the Gorgeous Grunge to create this beautiful card which I cased from Birgit Edblom.  I was daunted at first when I saw the colours shared but it is wonderful to get creative with a colour palette that you would not normally use and you can add your own colour to make the palette your own.  I fell in love with Birgit which is why I pinned it and when I was stumped at what to create, I had a quick scroll through Pinterest and then knew right away I wanted to try to re-create this card using Stampin Up Stamps.

#GDP069 Lovely as a Tree from Stampin Up

I created a mask with a torn piece of photocopy paper and stamped the trees in StazOn onto watercolour paper.  I then used the daubers to ink in delightful dijon making sure that the colour was more intense at the horizon line.  I kept adding colour until I was happy with the intensity but I did not use any other yellow ink.  I made sure I left a border around the outside of the image.

I then inked in smoky slate under the horizon line and then gently added a light touch of the delightful dijon to act as a reflection.  It needed something else so I added a black definition along the horizon line with an aqua painter using memento black ink and then put the mask back in place and stamped the short edge of the lines stamp from Gorgeous Grunge to add vertical lines which just made it perfect!

The sentiment is from Places You’ll Go which I heat embossed in silver embossing powder.  The last touch were the stunning urban underground embellishments.  They are self adhesive backed so I simply positioned them in all 4 corners and stuck in place!  The card itself is a small square card measuring 10.5 x 10.5cm.

So who is joining me this week?  Here is the colour challenge and I really encourage you to pop over to the Global Design Project to see what beautiful creations they have made with the same colour palette and then join in this week, you would be a guest designer for our next colour challenge!

Sheltering Tree from Stampin’ Up!

For this weeks sketch challenge card I used the Sheltering Tree stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  It is such a pretty and versatile set and has lots of matching images to change it up for several occasions.

Stampin Up Sheltering Tree

I used the patterned paper from the sweet dreams paper pack and created a sky background with a ripped piece of paper and a sponge dauber and soft sky ink.

Here is the sketch which inspired me, I rotated the sketch by 90 degrees –

Handmade Christmas card using Stampin’ Up! products

Today’s card is made using a sketch from Stamping&Blogging.  This handmade Christmas card was made using all Stampin’ Up! products. It has lots of sparkle……….

Handmade Christmas card by MIchelle Last

I wanted to replicate some of the beautiful sunsets I have seen lately and sponge daubed orange, pink and light blue for the sky.  I also added crystal effects to the banner and the tree trunks so they stayed the correct coloured and did not merge into the sky background.

I stamped the snowflakes from Endless Wishes in versamark and sprinkled with heat & stick powder and heat set and then quickly added the dazzling diamonds glitter and heat set briefly again.
