Valentines Card using Stampin’ Up! Products

I have a Valentine cards to share with you today.  It is really plain and simple and perfect for my sweetheart.  I used Heart Happiness and the free dies available with a £45 spend during sale-a-bration.
Heart Happiness £15 from Stampin' Up!

I wanted to create a clean and simple Valentines card which was masculine and I think this fits the bill perfectly.

I heat embossed the heart from the Heart Happiness Stamp Set (which is great value at £15) onto Smoky Slate cardstock.

The YOU is a die cut from the Celebrate You Thinlit dies which are free when you spend £90 on any Stampin’ Up! products.

I added some silver glimmer paper behind the die cut and simply mounted it onto a Basic Grey cardstock base.

So have you made your Valentine a card yet?  I think you may need some more Stampin’ Up! supplies to make your card so why not get a free item at the same time 🙂

All the items I have used are available via my online shop and shared below.  If you spend £20+ you will receive a free thank you gift for shopping with me online and for every £45 you spend with Stampin’ Up! you will earn a free sale-a-bration item from Stampin’ Up! I call that WIN=WIN.

Hearts Come Home Bundle from Stampin’ Up!

I am sharing this beautiful snowy Christmas scene with you today made using the Hearts Come Home Bundle in the new Autumn/Winter seasonal catalogue.

This week at the Global Design Project we are casing the super talented, hugely funny and well just simply huge hearted Brian King, a fellow demo based in the US.  Brian works full time but still manages to have a very successful Stampin Up business whilst making the most adorable cards, pop over to his blog to see more of his work….

Hearts Come Home Bundle

These dies are to die for, seriously there are so many possibilities with the Hometown Greetings Edgelit dies but when paired with the coordinating stamp set Hearts Come Home it takes it to another level.

I have completely fallen in love with the mixed fonts used and the little houses and santa on his sleigh, just stunning!

I am using this bundle in my upcoming October technique class and have 3 very different cards to create using this one bundle.  Pop to this sneak peek in the class post to see more ideas.

How I created this card
  • I cut the buildings in whisper white using the precision base plate as there are lots of intricate cut outs and if you want them to pop out easy then I’d definitely recommend the precision base place.
  • I embossed the card front with the softly falling embossing folder.
  • The mat for the front of the card measures 11.5 x 8.5cm (silver glimmer paper) the whisper white layer is 8 x 11cm.
  • Line up your die cuts to that they are overlapping but not cutting out too much detail and then trim to 8x11cm
  • Stamp your chosen sentiment in the white space at the base of the card.
  • Add tiny dimensionals to layer the die cuts to give them dimension and add a sparkly heart.

I allowed the church spire to overlap the top of the card but be sure to check the card will fit an envelope otherwise you could trim it down a little.

Here is the card of Brian’s that we are casing this week, why not join us this week and share your entry over at the Global Design Project?  Let’s go and see what the other design team members have made using Brian’s card as inspiration…

#GDP070 Delicate Details free during Sale-a-bration

I have a pretty romantic card for you today and I used the Delicate Details stamp set which is free from Stampin’ Up! when you spend £45/€60.  We have a sketch challenge with the Global Design Project this week and it is a really simple sketch with some many possibilities.

Delicate Details FREE from Stampin Up

The delicate details stamp set is so pretty and feminine and I stamped in versamark and heat embossed in white embossing powder.  I wanted to add some more sparkle to I added some Silver Glimmer paper as a strip and then stamped the sentiment from Falling For You.  I wasn’t sure whether to add sequins, rhinestones or some more bling but I decided to heat emboss one of the wooden heart embellishments with silver embossing powder.

This is this weeks sketch and we would love you to join us and make a project using the sketch below.

All the supplies I have used to make this card can be purchased via my online shop.

I love the pop of cherry cobbler ink on the stocking and the little strip of patterned paper to add some interest.

Can you see the embossed white paper, it is from the Fancy Frost Speciality Designer Series Paper.  You get 12 sheets and 2 sheets of 6 patterns.  The paper is lovely and thick and has a mat embossed feel.  Hard to see in the seasonal catalogue (P37) but really worth a second look as its just lovely!

The greeting and holly are from the Holly Berry Happiness Stamp set.

If you would like to place an order for Stampin’ Up! products simply click any of the images below or visit my shop to place an online order.  Please enter the monthly hostess code to receive a free thank you gift from me if your order is £20+ (and less than £150) or give me a call or drop me an email, I am really happy to help.
