Endless Thanks from Stampin’ Up!

Following on from my card yesterday for the InKing Royalty blog hop I have another card made using the same style using the Endless Thanks stamp set (one of my favourite stamp sets).  I love the clean style of this card and the white space make the flower stamps pop.

Endless Thanks raised greeting card

The hello sentiment is cut from Hello You Thinlit dies.  I cut three lots of smoky slate ‘hello’ words and one in white and glued them together to create height and dimension.

Endless Thanks Close Up

I finished off the flowers with enamel dots.

All the supplies I used to make the card are shown below, simply click this link to go to my shop to place an online order.  Please use the hostess code when spending £20+ to receive a free thank you gift from me.  If you spend £45 you can also choose a free sale-a-bration, see the leaflet on the right to see the free items available.

Birthday Bliss for the InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Birthday Bliss blog hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s Birthday Bliss Blog Hop.  Today’s hop is filled with inspiring projects that feature each artist’s take “Birthday Bliss”. I am delighted to be the guest designer for this amazing crew of talented bloggers and thank you to the hilarious Brian King for asking me 🙂

We are excited to share our projects with you and hope they inspire you! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Super Duper Birthday Balloons from Stampin Up

Balloon Birthday Card using Super Duper

I fell in love with the Super Duper stamp set as soon as I saw in the new seasonal catalogue.  I just loved the graphic balloons and knew I could get a great image with just one stamp but this is the first chance I have had to play and share this set with you.  Balloons = Birthday so it was an easy choice for me!

I simply stamped the background using 4 colours of ink and the two balloon stamps.  You even get a little string stamp for the balloons!  I had my sewing machine out so I decided to add a stitched effect around the edge in grey thread to compliment the Smoky Slate card base I used.

I then cut three smoky slate happy die cut words from the Hello You Thinlits and one in whisper white and layered them to create dimension.  I simply stuck them in the centre so that the greeting popped against the bright coloured balloon background and add the word birthday from the Crazy About You stamp set.

A smattering of sequins was all it need to finish it off.

#GDP055 using Home Sweet Home Thinlits

This week for the Global Design Project we are sharing a RAK which is a random act of kindness.  I made a New Home Gift using the Home Sweet Home stamps and dies.  Think of sharing the love to someone, totally unexpected and just because!

I had not reached for my new set of stamps called Sweet Home and matching dies called Home Sweet Home Thinlits and thought it would make a great New Home Card.  But as I wanted to send a random act of kindness I thought how lovely it would be to decorate a gift and make a card for my new neighbours.

Sweet Home from Stampin Up

I love the new gusseted cello bags which hold a whole bottle of fizz or a whole loaf cake (also a great gift but I don’t bake often).  They make a boring bottle look so much more and when finished off with ribbon and a tag from the Cheerful Tags Framelits Dies it is pretty easy to make something everyday look pretty amazing.

I needed a card too so I used the notecards and the Home Sweet Home Thinlits and matching Sweet Home stamps to create a little house.  I love the roof tiles and I even cut around the door so that it opens.

I needed some flowers so I used the flowers from the flower pot stamp in the stamp set Sitting Here and coloured them in with the markers.

Who wouldn’t be happy to be welcomed to our Close with these gifts?  Let’s hope they aren’t Teetotal!

So why don’t you pass on the love and make something for the person who always serves you with a smile on their face or the post office assistant or your postie or your children’s teacher – you get the drift.  There is nothing nicer than sharing a little random act of kindness.

Pop on over to the Global Design Project and share you entry to be in with a chance of being one of the three winners and whilst you are there please take a look at my fellow talented design team member entries for this week.

If you would like to order any of the items I have used to make these gifts simply click any of the products shown below to go direct to my online shop and don’t forget to use the monthly hostess code to receive a free thank you gift from me.

#GDP038 Sketch Challenge Card using Stampin Up Products

This weeks Global Design Project Card is made using a sketch.  It is a lovely simple sketch and I cannot wait to see how you interpret the design and see what you make.

I reached for some new product as its not long till you can get your hands on it now.  The new catalogue launches on 1st June and if you have not requested your own paper copy, please drop me an email with your address and I will get a copy out to you.

#GDP038 Swirly Scribbles

I stamped the swirly panel with Dapper Denim (New In Colour), Pool Party and Bermuda Bay and then overlayed some vellum to tone it down a little.

I then used the matching framelits which go with the Swirly Bird Stamp set to create the lovely swirly lines and flower and then cut out the hello word from the current Hello You Thinlit Dies.  The background card base is also Dapper Denim, it tones so nicely with so many other colours, you are going to love it!

Here is the sketch which inspired me, we would love you to have a go and create something with this sketch too!

#GDP038 Sketch Challenge

You must pop on over to the Global Design Project to see what the other design team members also made with the same sketch and please join us and enter the challenge this week as we love to see what you make.

Have a great Monday everyone, I’m busy unpacking after my wonderful Mediterranean Cruise with Stampin Up!  I can’t wait to share my photos with you in the coming days.

#GDP034 Hello Card made for the Global Design Project

I’m back and have made a card for the Global Design Project.
It is a simple sketch this week so I kept it simple.
#GDP034 Hello Card for the Global Design Project

I reached for one of the new In Colours which is being launched on 1st June in the new annual catalogue.  It is called Flirty Flamingo and I used the ink to create the watercolour wash background too.
#GDP034 Hello card for the Global Design Project

I cut several of the ‘hello’ thinlits dies and in Flirty Flamingo and glued and layered them up.  I topped it with a white hello die cut which I staggered to create a shadow. I made the watercolour wash background with an aqua painter on to whisper white cardstock and then heat embossed some small dots from the Timeless Textures stamp set.  Finally a splash of rhinestones to add some sparkle.

We would love to see what you lovely people create using the same sketch below –

#GDP034

Pop on over to the Global Design Project to see what all the design team have made with the same sketch.

The retiring list is still available by clicking the Going, Going Gone graphic on the right and lots of items have already sold out so don’t let your favourites disappear for good.
