Hug in a Mug from Stampin’ Up! for the Global Design Project

Welcome to my blog, today I am sharing a card made with the Hug in a Mug stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  I am casing a card from fellow design team member Allison Okamitsu.  Allison is super talented and an Artisan Design Team Member with Stampin’ Up!, you must go check out her blog.

Hug in a Mug from Stampin' Up!

I just love this little set in the new seasonal catalogue, it’s a great price at £15 and you can make varying mugs with varying contents and make it suit the theme of your card.

I heat embossed the mugs with white embossing powder and then added colour to the mugs using white ink.

The circle sentiment is cut using the Lovely Words Thinlits and the Layering Circle Framelits.

I used my stamp-a-majig to ensure the ‘sending warm thoughts’ to position my greeting in the gap of the die cut.

I added a raised mug stamped onto whisper white cardstock to give a little dimension.

This is the card I cased this week and I would love you to join us this week and make a card with the one below from Aliison as inspiration…

Bike Ride Birthday from Stampin’ Up!

I have made a card for the colour challenge for the Global Design Project using the Bike Ride stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  It is our daughter Amy’s 19th Birthday tomorrow so I made an extra special card with a unique detail personal to our family. I hope it makes you smile.

Bike Ride from Stampin Up

I stamped and die cut the bike frame, wheels etc and added a little basket of flowers on the back of the bike.  Coming very soon in the new seasonal catalogue is this cute little Dachshund so I stamped and die cut him to make him just up at the bike which is exactly what our little Dachshund Pip would do.  If she can get a carry or a lift she’d much rather that than walk!

Here are the colours this this weeks colour challenge with the Global Design Project challenge.

#GDP101

It is a slider card and I added a little greeting on the inside too so there is a little surprise when she pulls it open.

If you have not made a slider card before, I urge you to give them a try as they really add a WOW to a card.

Birthday Delivery from Stampin’ Up!

Today I am sharing a perfect kids/children’s card made using the Birthday Delivery stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

Lovely bright colours and a fancy fold too, what’s not to love all for the Global Design Project theme challenge.

Birthday Delivery from Stampin' Up!

Everything about this card is bright fun and energetic just like the 4 year old who I sent it to!

I heat embossed the greeting from Birthday Delivery with Silver Embossing Powder.  I hand cut the presents from the matching Birthday Memories patterned paper.  The greetings in the Birthday Memories stamp set are designed to fit inside the flag/banner that Mr Fox is waving.

This bundle is so clever as the dies are designed to cut out the characters on the patterned paper as well as the stamped images – so versatile!

I created the tab closure with the envelope punch board and when you open it……

The paper insert is attached to the top fold and moves up and down as you open and close the card 🙂

I really hope you join in with this weeks challenge and make a card for the kids in your family.  Simply pop on over to the Global Design Project to see what the other design team members have made using the same theme and see instructions on how to enter your own card to be in with a chance of being the weekly winner!

Window Box Thinlits from Stampin Up

I am sharing a card I have made today using the Window Box Thinlits for the Global Design Project case the designer challenge!  This week we are casing Krista Frattin who is a Canadian Stampin Up Demo who is uber talented and a past Artisan Design team member.

#GDP072 Window Shopping Thinlits from Stampin Up

I have used a combination of products to make this card including the Irresistibly Floral design er series paper which is white and has an embossed design on it so I used the sponge brayer to add Daffoldil Delight ink to make it background yellow and the diamond pattern pop in white.

I then cut the small square die from the Window Box thinlit dies and cut around the pattern using the stitched shapes framelits. The scallop circle is from the circle framlits nesting dies and the vellum piece has been stamped and heat embossed with the little flower from the Window Shopping stamp set which coordinates with the window shopping dies.

I added a little circle of dazzling diamonds glimmer paper behind the die cut to add some sparkle.

The card we cased is shown below.  Beautifully simple or simply beautiful, either way so easy to case and make your own creation.  So why not join us this week and case Krista and upload over at the Global Design Project?

Whilst you are there check out what the other design team members have made using Krista’s card as inspiration.

Foxy Friends from Stampin’ Up!

I have a lovely touch of copper for you and a cute little fox from Foxy Friends.  Today I am flying off to Amsterdam to enjoy the Stampin Up OnStage event with lots of lovely demos which means I will have lots to share with you next week 😉

I went a bit mad with copper and used the gorgeous copper foil sheets from Affectionately Yours design series paper and die cut the beautiful flourish thinlits shape and backed it with the copper foil sheet.

foxy-friends-from-stampin-up

I stamped the cute little fox onto whisper white and die cut him out making sure not to cut his tail off!

I even backed the fox with a copper scallop circle.

Overall pretty darn coppery!

Quick and simple and ready for your chosen sentiment.
