Jar of Love from Stampin’ Up for #GDP082

I am using my favourite set today, Jar of Love.  I simply adore it and I hear it is carrying over into the new catalogue so that is a whole another year to share ideas and inspiration using this set.  This week at the Global Design Project we have a sketch challenge.
Jar of Love for Global Design ProjectMy card is made using heavy weight whisper white cardstock and has no layers, I simply masked a line on the card front and stamped the two separate areas of the card separately.

I used the Diagonal Stripe background stamp to create the stripes in Pink Pirouette Ink and then stamped the flowers from the Jar of Love stamp set using Flirty Flamingo ink.  I stamped the flower off first to create a lighter shade for the whole flower then stamped the flower centre using the Flirty Flamingo ink without stamping off first.

I filled the gaps with the leaves and hearts using versa mark and heat embossed in Silver Embossing powder.

I added a sliver glimmer paper strip down the card to separate the two stamping styles.
I stamped the sentiment from Suite Sentiments in the seasonal catalogue using versa mark ink and heat embossed in silver too.  I used the label framelits to cut out the greeting and simply stuck it in place with dimensionals.

But I also sneaked in the free vellum paper which comes in a pack of 6×6″ vellums in carrying designs.  They are pretty and delicate and a perfect backdrop for any card, especially on dark cardstock.

I could not resist stamping the subtle flower on the inside too…

And if you are wondering what other images are include in this set, here you go….

I just snipped off the words I did not need to create Love You for my sentiment.  It is a three step stamp which means you stamp the outline first, then the middle stamp in a lighter colour and the smallest detail stamp in a darker colour to create some shading and as the set is photopolymer they are so easy to line up!

If you wish to get your hands on this set or see the other items you can get for free, check out the saleabration brochure on the right, click it to open a downloadable pdf.  And if you click the images of the products I used to make this card below you will be transported to my online store to place your order and the system will automatically prompt you to choose a freebie with every £45 you spend from the annual or/and seasonal catalogue.

So time to pop on over to the Heidi’s blog to see the more beautiful projects all made with Saleabration FREEBIES!

Handmade Baby Card made using Barnyard Babies from Stampin’ Up!

I have been busy lately creating cards for lots of special people and am finally delighted I can share them with you.  One of my lovely team, Sasha, recently had a gorgeous little baby boy called Elias.  Now I say recently, it was actually 7 weeks ago but I have only just been able to give her the handmade baby card I made as I SO wanted to use one of the new stamp set from the new catalogue!

When she had her first baby I made this Noah’s Ark card using the Zoo Babies stamp set.  So the pressure was on to make something equally cute for Elias!

I chose the new Barnyard Babies set and had an idea for the little sheep…..
Barnyard-Babies from Stampin UpYou may have seen the recent video I made with all the swaps I received from Madeira and see the action wobble spring in action on the watercoloured flower card from Steffi.  Well that gave me an idea!

I made the card front and stamp and coloured a little sheep and then mounted him on the spring so that he looks like he is moving! Cute eh? (thanks for the idea Steffi!)

But he cuteness doesn’t stop there! Here is the inside…..

It took a bit of Stamp-a-majig mastery to get the sheep to be grazing together but I love how they pop up when you open the card.
