I made a cute little spinner heart so that when my hubby opens the card the sparkly heart spins! You will have to pop over to my Instagram account to see a little demo on what that looks like though!  Michelleclast on Instagram

Pinkies Team Punch Challenge – Holly Berry Builder Punch

I am excited to share with you today my Pinkies team entries for challenge where where they needed to make projects using our punches. We have amazing punches manufactured by EK Success in our own exclusive designs and they make using the coordinating stamp sets a breeze! Pinkies Team Design Challenge with Michelle Last We sell so many lovely punches and I have to confess that when a punch retires I don’t part with it which might be why my punch draw is groaning under the weight and has had to be reinforced several times! Before I show you what ideas and projects my team came up with I wanted to share with you the card I made using the Holly Berry Builder Punch.  I have been wanting a punch to create holly for some time and love this punch as it has two sizes of holly, the berries and also a lovely bow. holly-berry-builder-punch from stampin up This card was pretty quick to make which is just what I need at this time of year as I am feeling rather swamped and disorganised.

I die cut a wreath from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits and added a sentiment in the centre on vellum from the Wonder of Christmas stamp set and added some gold bakers twine and gold metallic thread along with the holly which was punched out of dazzling diamonds glimmer paper and coloured with Garden Green marker pen.

I added the beautiful red enamel shapes for berries and added a black dot to make them appear more like real berries. Love that holly embossed back ground too which I sponged in whisper white ink and distressed the edges to give a more vintage feel to the card.

So it is now time to reveal what my wonderful team members have been creating with their Stampin’ Up! punches and I would love you to vote for your 3 favourite projects. Take a look at all the entries below and please vote for your three favourites by clicking the heart in the top right of the image. Voting closes on Thursday 15th December at midnight and the winner (the most voted for project) will be announced on my blog on Friday and will win a mini stampin up spending spree!

Pinkies Colouring Challenge

This week I am sharing some entries to our team challenge to create a project using colouring.

Pinkies Team Design Challenge with Michelle Last

There are so many ways to colour in paper crafting and I am sure that you will be inspired by all the projects shared below to pick up your own colouring tools and get crafting!

Before I reveal what my team made and give you a chance to vote for your favourite I wanted to share my colouring project…

Forever evergreen stampin Up

I had wonderful fun colouring in these baubles.  I really am a novice at colouring but when you use watercolour paper its really easy.  I stamped the baubles in versamark and embossed in silver embossing powder.  I then was able to use my aqua painter to colour the baubles and add shading by going over the same patch of the bauble.  As watercolour paper is super absorbent its means you can colour repeatedly over the same spot to create the shading or graduation of colour.

I wanted the baubles to pop off the background so I added a smoky slate background using a dauber.  I then stamped the tree branches from Christmas Pines in two colours of ink.

I then threaded the silver metallic thread from the top of the bauble to the branch so they look like they are really hanging from the tree.

I added the Noel sentiment and embossed that too.  I then stamped, coloured and cut out two more baubles which I added to the inside with another sentiment.

Global Design Project #GDP040 using Jar of Love

This weeks card is case the designer week and we are casing the super talented and oh so lovely Shawn de Oliveria.  Shawn is one of the super talented design team at the Global Design Project and I really recommend you pop over to his blog as he makes beautiful cards.

I am having so much fun using all my new supplies from the new annual Stampin Up catalogue. One of my new favourites is Jar of Love.  It has so much potential as there are so many stamps and framelits in the bundle.

Jar of Love from Stampin Up - #GDP040

I embossed the background onto a Daffodil Delight Card base leaving a blank panel on the right for the sentiment.

I inked a piece of pool party cardstock with rich razzleberry ink and diecut the sunshine die cut from the new Sunshine Wishes Framelits. I added the ‘spread the’ sentiment from Jar of Love.

I stamped the glass jar onto acetate using White StazOn and added a layer of white card underneath which was watercoloured to give the effect of water in the jar.

I stamped and die cut the flowers in varying shades of Pool Party and Rich Razzleberry Ink (and crushed curry ink).  And finally a little flourish of gold metallic thread around the neck of the jar and an enamel dot as the dot for the ‘i’.

Here is the sketch of the card from Shawn de Oliveira. Isn’t it beautiful?

Get Well Card using Stampin Up products

This weeks Global Design Project theme is to make a Get Well Card using Stampin Up supplies.

I made this before I left for the Stampin Up Incentive trip and I am so pleased I did as I have my Open House tomorrow and still have lots more to prepare to share with all the ladies who are coming along!

#GDP039 Get Well Card using Stampin Up Supplies

I used Timeless Textures to create the grid backgound and heat embossed it in white and added the flourish.  I then used our new sponge brayers to add two colours of ink which gives a lovely subtle background which is easy to blend.

I added the sentiment from Greatest Greetings using Watermelon Wonder ink and added a flower and leaves for some more texture and detail.
