Moving Cards from Stampin’ Up!

I created a moving card using the You Move Me stamp set from Stampin’ Up! for this weeks Global Design Project challenge.  When I first saw this stamp set in the catalogue I was a little perplexed by the striped images but when I saw a demo of how the card worked I was absolutely blown away.

Click here> I have a video on my Instagram account where you can see it moving.

You Move Me from Stampin' Up!

How I made the Moving Card

I used our mini treat bag thinlits die and then die cut the horizontal lines using the die from Move Me Thinlits.

I stamped the pretty flowers and leaves and die cut them using the You Move Me bundle.

The greeting on the front is heat embossed in gold and from the One Big Meaning Stamp set.

The butterfly lined image is stamped twice in two colours, Melon Mambo and Blushing Bride and finally I added the beautiful ombre ribbon to made a loop to slide the insert in and out.

Hopeful thoughts for Global Design Project #005

Todays’ challenge is a colour challenge.  And I have little of no time this weeks so it felt like a challenge to make a card but I managed it and in far less time that I thought.  I got an idea and just kind of run with it.

Pop over to the Global Design Project #005 to see what the other wonderful ladies and gents have made using this sketch but also to join in yourself!

There was a moment in there where I thought I was destined for the bin but I persevered and at the end I decided it would make the grade!  I used the lovely flowers/branch from Hopeful Thoughts.

Hopeful thoughts GDP 005

I stamped the flower/branch stamp in versamark on basic black card stock and used Pool Party Embossing Powder as I thought it was a good enough match for the Soft Sky and to be honest if I had not told you, you would never know 🙂

I also heat embossed the sentiment in white and punched the corners using the Curvy Corner Trio Punch.  I then inked the whole piece of black card with white ink and a sponge to create the chalkboard look.  I added flowers punched in the Soft Sky, Daffodil Delight cardstock and inked the edges in the same colour.  I then punch out some leaves from the bird builder punch and cut them so they were individual leaves and stuck them to the flowers with the gabby fine tip glue pen.  A few rhinestones and then a single flower under the sentiment finished it off.

You may be wondering where the little flower is from and if its the retired flower punch (which I so miss).  But you would be wrong as I found a delightful little discovery today!

Can you see the small little flower??  Whoo hoo we have a little flower punch again!!

So these are the items I used to make this cute little card……

Garden In Bloom Sketch Challenge Card

Today’s card is made using the Garden in Bloom stamp set from Stampin’ Up!
Garden in Bloom from Stampin Up

It super subtle and very water coloured but its the stamp that gives that effect not the way I coloured it, its so easy! I did do some fussy cutting around the butterflies but it was no hardship.

Here is this weeks sketch –
