Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers

This is my first colouring attempt with the Stampin’ Blends.  I am a novice colourer but so happy to have a new colouring medium to enhance my crafting.

I made a card to recognise an amazing accomplishment by one of my team.  My team member Sam Hammond reached her 600,000 CSV sales milestone.  That means she has sold LOTS of Stampin’ Up! products.

Stampin' Blends from Stampin' Up!

I made an eclipse card using the newly introduced Color Me Happy Stamp set.

How I made the Eclipse card
  • I drew a line to attach the lanterns to using the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Markers.
  • I stamped the lanterns from the Color Me Happy stamp set with Memento Black Ink at different heights.
  • I began to colour each lantern using the new Stampin’ Blends.  I coloured a small area with the darker shade and then used the small nib of the lighter shade to blend and combine both shades.  (There are some great video tutorials shared below).
  • I then used the sentiment from This LIttle Piggy which says – She believed she could… and so she did and masked and stamped in the top left and bottom right corner.
  • I used the Numbers for You Die set to cut out the 600,000 and then stuck the numbers back in place with dimensionals to raise them up.
  • A final flourish of sequins and my card was complete 🙂

Numbers for You Eclipse Card

Sam and I recently took a little shopping trip to Bicester Village and more specifically the Michael Kors shop so I picked out a lovely new purse to match one of the bags she bought.  She so deserved to be spoiled.

So if you fancy trying out the new Stampin’ Blends, be sure to watch these videos from Stampin’ Up! If you place an order via my online shop be sure to add the monthly hostess code to receive a free thank you gift when spending £20+

Birthday Bliss for the InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Birthday Bliss blog hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s Birthday Bliss Blog Hop.  Today’s hop is filled with inspiring projects that feature each artist’s take “Birthday Bliss”. I am delighted to be the guest designer for this amazing crew of talented bloggers and thank you to the hilarious Brian King for asking me 🙂

We are excited to share our projects with you and hope they inspire you! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Super Duper Birthday Balloons from Stampin Up

Balloon Birthday Card using Super Duper

I fell in love with the Super Duper stamp set as soon as I saw in the new seasonal catalogue.  I just loved the graphic balloons and knew I could get a great image with just one stamp but this is the first chance I have had to play and share this set with you.  Balloons = Birthday so it was an easy choice for me!

I simply stamped the background using 4 colours of ink and the two balloon stamps.  You even get a little string stamp for the balloons!  I had my sewing machine out so I decided to add a stitched effect around the edge in grey thread to compliment the Smoky Slate card base I used.

I then cut three smoky slate happy die cut words from the Hello You Thinlits and one in whisper white and layered them to create dimension.  I simply stuck them in the centre so that the greeting popped against the bright coloured balloon background and add the word birthday from the Crazy About You stamp set.

A smattering of sequins was all it need to finish it off.

Hang Your Stocking from Stampin’ Up!

I have made a shaker Christmas card using the Hang Your Stocking stamps and Christmas Stocking Thinlit Dies.  I embossed the edge of the Crumb Cake card with the retired Boughs & Berries Embossing Folder which is AVAILABLE IN THE CLEARANCE RACK for £4.20 in my online shop!

Hang Your Stocking from Stampin Up

I stamped the stocking in Blushing Bride ink and positioned it behind the die cut stocking.  I added a piece of acetate window sheet behind the die cut and added the foam adhesive strips to add dimension and room for me to add the fancy frost sequins.

I embossed the crumb cake cardstock with the Boughs & Berries Embossing Folder which is NOW £4.20 on the Clearance Rack – grab it quick before it sells out! Ignore the price listed in the showcase below, it will change when you get to my shop.

I sponged the raised impression with Whisper White Ink and added more ink using an aqua painter on the holly and berries to make them stand out more.

I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black Ink and added the linen thread, rhinestones and silver bells to finish it off.

Can you see I also added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the sequins to add some sparkle too 😉

All the items used in this card are available in my online shop, simply click any of the items below to see them in my shop and don’t forget to add the hostess code to receive a free thank you gift (when spending £20+ and less than £150).

Team Challenge – Stampin’ Up projects using Heat Embossing

I am holding another challenge for my team of demos and they need to create something using heat embossing.   I love heat embossing and quite often when my card just needs a little something more I add some heat embossing.  Everyone who took part is shown below and I would love you to vote for your three favourite entries.

Pinkies Team Design Challenge with Michelle Last

I have made my own card using heat embossing and I reached for the new stamp set Frosted Medallions as I just love the large snowflake design.

Pinkies Team Design challenge using Heat Embossing

I stamped onto Sweet Sugar plum card in versa mark and heat embossed using clear embossing powder which gives a tone on tone effect.

The back ground card base is Rich Razzleberry and I added the lovely big sentiment from Wonderful Year onto vellum and heat embossed that in white embossing powder, it really makes it pop! Finally a flourish of sequins and it was complete.

Now its time to see what my team have made using heat embossing….

Take a look at all the entries below and please vote for your three favourites by clicking the heart in the top right of the image. Voting closes on Thursday 15th September at midnight and the winner will be announced on Friday in a new blog post and they will also receive a £20 Stamping Spree with me!

Thanks for voting, we really appreciate it and I cannot wait to see which 3 are your favourites and announce the winner on Friday!

You’re Sublime for Global Design Project #GDP047

This weeks challenge from the Global Design Project is a Nautical theme!  I knew I did not own any of the usual sets which would fit this theme and I have to admit that I googled the definition of Nautical as I wasn’t sure if I could use the goldfish stamp from Jar of Love or if I was pushing the meaning slightly….turns out I was so I went with submarines instead!  Random!

You're Sublime from Stampin Up #GDP047

I made is into a shaker card which is super easy with the new foam adhesive strips.  I had to use the new layering squares framelits (coz I love them!) and the backing paper was perfect from the By the Shore designer series paper.   Pretty sure you will be seeing that again and again in this weeks challenge!

So its time to pop on over to see what the other design team members have made using the Nautical theme.  Go to Global Design Project to see ideas and also how to add your own entry, we would love you to join in!
