I have been making a few cards and it feels good. I have stepped back from my busy schedule and given myself some time. As a result I am enjoying creating again.
I made these cards, I loved the Megan's christening one and you probably know me well enough by now that I always try to make another whilst I have all the supplies out and the ideas in my head.
I just used my punches on the front flap of the card and the backed the cut out with different patterned paper. I then lined the back with white card so you couldn't see the messy result!
I used the alphabits stamp on the word christening which is only available whilst stocks last and will be removed from sale for good after September. It is only £13.95 for 4 different alphabets and you can punch out the letters perfectly with the 1/4" square punch £3.95 all from Stampin Up. I absolutely adore this little alphabet stamp as its so useful when you don't have a stamp for the specific occasion you want. One of my must haves…….. and here is the other card I made at the same time.
Hi Michelle, your cards are absolutely beautiful, I love this technique of punching the shapes and adding paper behind them, it looks so nice and neat too!..lol, I’m a stickler for neatness and perfection! (not sure if thats good or bad.)
Take care

Just lovely – pretty colours and beautifully done! I tried this technique recently and I have to say it didn’t go well at all. I posted the card into the bin! Glad to see you had more success, perhaps I should try again, Jo x
Is that the three-tiered cream stand from Homebase I spy in that photo? If so… Snap Michelle! I keep ribbons in mine.
