I used the level 3 hostess set called 'Queue Up' to make some cards for my clever downline girls who have recently promoted. The card itself is 4"x4" which I cut from a sheet of 12"x12". I then scored the card into thirds. Using my stamp-a-majig I stamped the birds on the bottom outside of the right hand flap.
I then cut around the stamped design but ensured it was still attached at the scored section. With pencil I drew a cloud shape on the left hand outside flap and cut round it with scissors so that one edge was still secured along the scored edge. I shaded this with some sponge and some ink to look like clouds.
I then began to colour in the birds and the branch with my Stampin Write Markers. I experimented first on my grid paper to get the colours I wanted and used the aqua pen to add the brown watercolour detail to the birds chest.
To finish off I used some Ballet Blue Cardstock slightly smaller than 4"x4" and adhered it to the centre and then double mounted some patterned paper slightly smaller over the top (from the Tea Party set) and stamped 'Happy' and 'for you' on the card. I really enjoyed colouring in the image and will definitely be doing that again soon. If you would like all the markers I am still looking for two members to join my marker club, email me for details – firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks for looking x
