It was our second card club yesterday and we concentrated on our Chistmas table and made little named boxes to sit at each place setting and also the sour cream boxes (for the men). The box with the beautiful flower was inspired by Monica's demo at Convention and is so easy to make (thanks Monica for the quick reminder on Sunday)!!
For the flower box I used – Very Vanilla Cardstock end used the So Swirly Wheel which I then gold embossed. The flower was made using six punched out scalloped circle flowers which I cut into to make larger petals and scrumpled them up and layered them on top of one another. A half pearl from the pretties kit finished them off beautifully.
For the Sour Cream Container I used – Very Vanilla Cardstock and embossed in gold the Woodcut Holly wheel stamp. I then stamped the sentiment (but you could leave blank and add the guests name) and punched out in the large scallop and mounted it with a choc chip scallop oval.
For the Menu Card I Used – Whisper White cardstock which I printed my menu onto using Microsoft Word. I then cut to size and stamped the knife, fork and spoon image, menu, compliments to the chef and the pretty border which are stamps all from the Compliments to the Chef set £16.95 which you could still get in time for Christmas. It was so quick and easy and could be adapted especially for those of your doing a 'Come Dine with Me' with your own friends and family in the coming months.
It is probably far too early for your other half to be thinking about what he plans to buy for you this Christmas but I am running a Christmas Wish List Service and also Gift Vouchers so that you can have what you would really like for Christmas (who needs more slippers and smellies??) So send my blog link to your friends and family as a subtle (or not so subtle) hint and leave the rest to us. If you would like to be more specific about what you would like then Download Christmas Wish List and fill it out – what could be easier. I will even gift wrap the item and post it to a discreet address to keep you guessing, hope to hear from you and make your Christmas wishes come true….
Loved the class.
Thank You x
