Here is the next project made using the contents of the Sweet Pea kit for sale at the moment. This is super quick card with a very clever addition to the front so that you can thread your ribbon through it to keep it closed.
We were shown how to make this card at the Inspiration Evening that was held by Stampin Up for customers earlier in the year. I love the idea of the ribbon and the stamped flower image is perfect for doing this.
Here are the supplies used to make this card –
Cardtstock – Bordering blue, whisper white and old olive
Ink Used – Bashful Blue, Old Olive & Choc Chip
Stamps – My Sweet Pea stamp set £9.95 (supplied in the kit above) and Tiny Tags for the friends sentitment
Accessories – 3/4" circle punch, 1" Double stitched grosgrain ribbon £6.95 (supplied in the ribbon add on kit above)
All you need to do to make this card is stamp the flower in bashful blue three times on the whisper white cardstock and then using the old olive ink, stamp the dotted design inside the flower and the leaf around the flower. Stamp the sentiment friends on a piece of old olive and adhere to the top right section of the shisper white. Next punch out the 3/4" cirlce in the bottom flower on the whisper white and adhere to the bordering blue card front and then punch the circle in the same place so that you can thread your 1" ribbon through and tie in a knot at the front. Done!
Super fast and super easy but with the ribbon detail really effective, hope you like it
The ‘My Sweet Pea’ stamp set is one of those that does not look all that inspiring in the catalogue (apologies to all); but looks FANTASTIC when seen like this.
Would highly recommend it, especially whilst on offer
Love the colour choice too.
