Free tin
I used a tin which came free with a promotional pack of Bodyform from Tesco, it was only £1 and is designed to hide personal items in your back but I am a sucker for a tin and found one that did not have a raised design on the lid that I could cover.
I covered the lid with the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper and then used the 1/4" certainly celery grosgrain ribbon to cover the edge of the tin lid and tied in a bow. I then stamped the little bird from the Sweet Pea Stamp Set using the chocolate chip and summer sun markers and using the stamp-a-majig I stamped the image onto the imaging sheet flipped it over so the reverse inked image was cardstock side down and then pleced it opposite the first image and pressed down firmly removing the image from the imaging sheet onto the whisper white cardstock.
It was a bit light and sketchy so using the markers again I coloured in the outline and used a white pen to add the stitching detail. Mine wasn't perfect but did the job! I then took the love you stamp from the Sealed with a Kiss stamp set and using the stamp-a-majig stamped it centrally between the toucans. I punched a heart using the heart to heart punch fron the sweet pea patterend paper and glued in place.
I cut around the image leaving a rectangle and then punched out six of the scallop squares in choc chip and placed them around the rectangle to give a scalloped edge. I finished it off by mounting the stamped image on the tin with stampin dimensionals.
Hope you like it, come back for more tomorrow x
Really cute Michelle.
I’d almost convinced myself that I could live without this little bird but it’s no good – I need it!
Clever idea using the scalloped squares to make a rectangle-would never have thought of that.
I have at least three of these discreet lady-product tins – bought purely for altering of course! Thanks for the inspiration Michelle.. your tin’s really cute!
