I know it's hard to believe that some people have their birthday's at this time of year and I know from experience that their birthday celebrations get a little swallowed up with the Christmas festivities so I am urging you to get organised and prepared to make anyone having a birthday feel special. Here are a few no-no's
- Don't wrap their birthday pressie in Christmas paper!
- Don't combine their birthday and Christmas pressie if you can help it.
- Make your cards in advance so that you don't need to pop to the local corner shop.
- Make a big deal and make a fuss of them, the poor things will have to wait another 12 months for any pressies or treats…….
This is a perfect card that suits most people so why not make a few of them? I find that if I am going to the trouble of making one card it really doesn't take long to make a couple more at the same time.
I have used Perfect Punches for the sentiment (£17.95/£22.95), 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon (£5.25) and the hostess level 3 set to make the brightly coloured bunting. I have a little secret for you though, when you receive your stamps from Stampin Up you also receive the background rubber too so you could cut a triangle piece of rubber and make your own bunting, I always try and use the extra pieces that would normally be thrown away……
So much snow here and it shows no sign of dissapearing – still waiting on lots of deliveries, so keep your fingers croseed!!!!
Oh and if you are planning on coming to The Retreat I am oranising then todays is the last day to benefit from the early bird offer, email me on michelle@cbdesign.org.uk
Thank you Michelle – from someone who has a birthday on 23rd December!!!! Often think I should be like the Queen and have two birthdays, the official one on 23rd December and another one in the summer!
