Good morning, Goodness I cannot wait till Thursday so that I can FINALLY unleash all the new loveliness that Stampin' Up has given us in the new mini catalogue, you are going to LOVE it – I promise. Only 3 more days to go………….
I have found it increasingly hard to create projects to post on my blog as I cannot stop using all the new goodies from the mini and of course I am not able to ruin the surprise and post pictures just yet.
It's only two weeks until my craft retreat and I am busy creating some beautiful displays for the event as well as organising all the lovely surprises we are going to give the attendees, I cannot wait girls!
So Easter is looming and I really need to create something lovely for Easter but will my kids still want to do an Easter Egg hunt at 14 & 12? I suspect that they will as long as I don't tell anyone that we did one – chocolate is chocolate right?? So the Easter Egg hunt is about finding treats and not necessarily about volume of chocolate as they will get more chocolate than they can ever eat so I saw this on Sarah-Jane Kales blog and knew that they would be perfect for an Easter display hanging from twigs or hidden the garden on an Easter Egg hunt.
This is my version and it really did not take me too long –
Supplies Used – Good Egg Stamp set, Designer Series Paper in Subtles (this pack stack is lush and great value too!), sweet treat cups, 3/8" Taffeta ribbon in Marina Mist and Daffodil Delight, pearls, early espresso ink, gold elastic cord, word window punch and 1 3/4" circle punch.
I used the oval egg stamp as a template but to fit the sweet treat cups in the egg shape I had to add approx 1cm around the stamped egg shape which I cut free hand. If any of the sweet treat cup was showing I just trimmed it off. I cut two ovals per egg so that I could stick one on the back.
Hope you like them, have a great day x
