I know, I know, I obviously have a thing for shutter cards and albums at the moment but honestly It feels like magic when you start with a rectangular piece of cardstock and end up with a 3D beautiful card like this 🙂
This is one of the project's we made at my recent Bicester event (last Sunday). We had over 20 demo's come along from all over the UK and also over 10 customers as we make everyone welcome. You get loads of products to make the make and takes during the day including scrummy cakes and lots of ideas and techniques to try at home.
Everyone received the Strength & Hope stamp set and for every sale of one of these sets, Stampin Up will donate £1 from every set sold to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This card would make a beautiful gift for anyone battling with illness or anyone fundraising on one of the charity fundraisers to wish them luck.
We had such a fun day and I love being with other like minded crafters, all sharing and enjoying each others company.
This is the shutter card laid flat
Every time I hold this event, some members of my team volunteer to demonstrate and show samples using a specific product. I had three wonderful demo's help me out. This was Lynney's display using the Pick a Petal stamp set. She made some wonderful things and showed us how versatile the stamp set is…….
Aren't they wonderful, there are so fantastic ideas used here.
Next up was Jenny, she is a whizz on facebook and showed us all how to use facebook to build and increase our businesses. I certainly learned a thing or two so thank you Jenny.
And finally Nicky showed us so wows with the big shot. It is such a new toy to me and it has so much potential and Nicky managed to show us several ways to use the dies and embossing folders.
I cant wait to have a play over Easter.
Stunning! Nicky is so talented and was quite nervous before the event but really she did not need to be as she was fab!
And these were her swaps. Can you see the beautifully neat bow? Nicky showed us how to tie these perfect little bows during the workshop wow session.
This was one of the make and takes using the scallop circle die, perfect for Easter.
As these were using the notecards from Stampin Up paired with the Decorative Label Punch and the butterfly from the Strength and Hope stamp set.
And finally this is Dawn, she came all the way down from York to be with us and she showed us THREE wow techniques. She did brilliantly as there were over 30 pairs of eyes watching intently. She has just started a new blog too, go check it out here.
So why don't you come along next time, its on July 17th, details are on the events tab of my blog and everyone is welcome.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by………
