What a lovely load of blog readers you are. I have been very quiet for the last few weeks and you have still been stopping by with good wishes and encouragement and I really appreciate each and every one of you. As most of you know I have had a really bad back, I am on the mend though and I cannot wait to be back to normal and fighting fit (well perhaps not fit but able to move freely :-)).
So I have a couple of things to share with you, first is a card ensemble I made for a children's birthday party. I don't often get to make cards for the younger generation and the Party This Way stamp set (£12.95 – such great value) and the coordinating Celebrations patterned paper were both screaming at me to use them! Of course I could not resist using the little owl punch and making him a little pirate too.
So this little ensemble consists of the card with the balloons and then I made a party bag using the cello bags and the top note die as a topper. Stampin Up are SO clever they have intentionally designed the top note die so that when the die is folded in half along the short edge the topper will fit a small cello bag and if the die is folded along the long edge the topper will fit a medium cello bag – genius!! it makes it so easy to make these little bags and I think the pirate owl and the balloons finish it off perfectly.
Lastly I made a little sign saying party this way so that all the guests knew to come round to the back of the house where the party was. A little different for me but it was nice to do something different.
And yesterday, when I feeling a little sorry for myself as I had been pummeled within an inch of my life from the physio and paid for the privilege, the little man in the brown uniform came a knocking (the UPS man). What could this be, a little package but not the usual brown boxes I have come to expect.
Guess what was inside????
It is so nice to have something to look forward to. When we earn this trip, it is a long year away before we actually get to go so it is easy to put it to the back of your mind and believe it might actually never come around. But it has and I could not be more excited. My wonderful customers and my amazing team of demonstrators all contributed to me being able to win this trip and for them I am truly thankful.
I have been to Prague before and loved it and to be honest the destination is secondary to all the lovely people I will get to spend time with and the fun things we will do. I cannot wait to spend some time with my fellows demo's who I can now call friends and get a chance to chat, laugh and even learn. It is like a girly weekend but one where I don't need to pay the bill at the end – bliss! I am hoping that Shelli will be there as well as the other lovely representatives from Stampin Up. This company is fantastic at keeping secrets so we never know whats in store till it happens and we feel truly spoiled.
And for those of you who are thinking to yourselves, how lovely but I could never win a trip like that, think again, I thought the same and not only is this my second trip but I have already earned the trip to Vienna next year and we get to take a guest too!
If I can do it, anyone can, it takes hard work but when I say work I mean crafting with friends, how hard can that be 🙂
So I am one happy lady, who needs to go and do her stretching exercises if I am going to be able to carry that suitcase home laden with swaps and goodies galore………..
Thanks for stopping by
Oooh, how exciting Michelle! Congratulations, and great to hear you are on the mend. Don’t over do those exercises, and if all else fails, flutter those eyelashes and smile with those blue eyes and you may get a hunky man to help you… well, we can dream can’t we 🙂
I always love your projects and this one is no exception…
