During the night I kept waking up to check the alarm to make sure that I had not overslept! I did not want to miss a moment.
We met for a delicious breakfast and I tried to savour every mouthful, remembering that I had not had to prepare it or do the dishes afterwards (well, load them in the dishwasher but you know what I mean!).
We then met in reception at 9am for a guided tour of Prague Castle. Our lovely guide for the day met us and we walked to a tram stop nearby to catch our tram to the Castle. There were two guides on our trip Ivana who was our guide and another guide who looked after the German group. He was a tiny bit gorgeous and the UK girls were a little miffed that he was looking after the German group. And as we usually get some lovely pillow gifts at the end of the day I was rather keeping my fingers crossed 😉
As the trip was organised by the two Kellie's from Stampin Up, this was no ordinary tram; This was a tram who's home is usually in a museum but was specially commissioned to take us on a trip around the city and up to the castle.
Here are Pam and I. Pam Morgan also works at Stampin Up and one of the most down to earth and funny people you will ever meet, I loved being in her company.
And here is my pillow gift…..
Only joking Simon (my husband) I think the word for me is incorrigible!!!!
Once we had a tour of the city and all the beautiful buildings we arrived at Prague Castle and commenced our guided tour. The weather was beautiful and the views were breathtaking……
Can you see the grand building on the left? I had to post this photo as I will refer back to this building later in my posts. Below is the lovely Monica and Paula. They are both such great fun and I so enjoyed spending time with them both.
We stopped for lunch at a restaurant with beautiful views over the city surrounded by vineyards. This was waiting for us at the lunch stop.
I love everything about this, the colour combo, the design and of course the lace ribbon and antique brads, keep wishing girls……..
And I had the best ceasar salad ever –
Followed by Salmon – delish! Dessert was pancakes but I declined in case I could not squeeze into my dress on Saturday evening!!
After lunch we headed into town for a spot or two of shopping, sightseeing and some people watching. Our little group went to see the Astronomical clock and joined the crowds for when it struck on the hour.
We did not need to be back at the hotel till the evening pajama party which was a good job as we got a little lost and seemed to walk forever. We kept heading for the next corner looking for the river which seemed to elude us. We did eventually find our way back after lots of laughs and embarassing stories shared. Thank you Amanda, Monica, Paula and Pam for a fun afternoon.
A quick shower and a freshen up just to get into our pajama's!! Luckily I found a lift that took me in the back entrance so I did not need to venture through reception in my pjs 🙂
We swapped, goodness the girls really pushed the boat out this time and wowed me with their wonderful swaps. I have some great photo's which I will share in the coming days.
The excitement in the air was tangible and we were busy swapping before they let us in the hospitality suite. Little did we know what was in store for us…..
This is how we knew where our seats were, an apron with the Prague embroidered logo and our names on. We were shrieking like excited school girls. We also got a lovely black lunch bag with some supplies to complete the make and takes. And a huge selection of cakes and chocolates to keep our strength up 🙂
The attention to detail is one of the things I love most about Stampin Up! And after a couple of hours of crafting and an adrenaline high we went back to Natalie's room for a photo call with our aprons on…..
Then off to bed we went with another day to come……… I wish I was still there!
Hey that last photo turned out okay in the room Michelle, even though I don’t know how to work those fancy cameras!!!!!!!!! Lovely to see you again and thanks so much for your gorgeous swap, clever idea. Bisous xxx
