Goodness, it has been a hectic few days. It was my son's 15th birthday at the weekend and he managed to find an excuse to celebrate every day over the weekend so the house was full of friends and family and the house now looks like a bomb site!! I am still trying to understand how I have a child that is 15 :-)
Its was my monthly technique card class night and we used the Clearly for You stamp set from the new mini. Everyone gets the stamp set included in the cost of the class and we then make 3 projects using new techniques and the stamp set. When I first sat down to use this set I was a little nervous as the images are so small and I wondered how they would look on a card but I am super pleased with the cards we made.
The first one and my fave was inspired by Mary Fish at Stampin' Pretty I loved how she used the smaller images in a patchwork effect and I decided to stamp my images onto the Newsprint patterned paper.
I used black ink and then using the fun flowers die (exclusive to Stampin' Up) I die cut the two smallest flowers, inked the edges with crumb cake and scrunched them up. The flower centre is the beautifully intricate rectangle stamp from the clearly for you stamp set which has been heat embossed in silver. I punched a 3/4" circle and then added a bit of bling with the rhinestones.
I am loving the trend for echoing the stamping on the inside of the card so I added the pretty butterflies and some more bling….
I used the 1 1/4" square punch to punch out a uniform square punch.
Very vintage…………….love it!
Come back tomorrow to see the other card we made. Thanks for stopping by.
