This was the final project from this weeks technique class.
We used the Bevelled window panes from the Stampin Up mini catalogue. Not many people know what these are or what to use them for. I have been using them on lots of projects lately and you will see them in one of the projects I have designed for this weekends Bicester event on Sunday.
We stamped an image from the Clearly for you set onto newsprint paper. We inked and coloured the image and waiting for the ink to dry. I then smeared the stamped image with glue stick and laid the window pane over the stamped image. Beware if your ink is still wet the glue stick will smudge the ink. I then cut around the window pane so that the DSP was flush to the edges. Using a craft knife I cut through the two slits in the window pane and threaded some ribbon through leaving two long dangly lengths of ribbon which are designed to sit in the pages of your book. I tied a ribbon around the long strands to hold them in place and one one of the taffeta's ribbons I stamped the butterfly in basic black ink. Which do you prefer??
I will be taking these along on Sunday to the Bicester/training event so that they ladies can see them in the flesh. I will also be taking along all my goodies from the Prague Incentive trip and I cannot wait to catch up with everyone. Gill Prescott has designed the project and its a stunner, I will post photo's next week. Why not come and join us for our next Bicester's event, details are on my blog under events and the next one if on 16th October. All are welcome including demo's from any teams, customers, friends and family.
So I had better go an pack the boxes ready to go, have a great weekend xx

Hi Michelle … love he way you’ve used the bevelled window panes – I’ve got a workshop coming up and am ordering a couple of packs so your idea will certainly come in useful as an alternative to a card!
