I have been wanting to try an easter bonnet for ages now and have managed to collect lots of the clear plastic pots that the Stampin' Up! embellishments come in. As Easter is just around the corner I thought it was the perfect opportunity to make one and I love how it turned out.
I used the large scallop circle die for the base of the hat and inked the edges. On top of that is the largest circle from the circles #2 die and the next smaller circle fits exactly on top of the hat. I ran both these circles through the big shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder to give them a woven texture. I used a thin strip of Pink Pirouette cardstock to go around the rim of the lid and some very vanilla satin ribbon to make a bow around the base of the bonnet.
The flowers and leaves were made using the itty bitty punch and the bird punch finished off with some pearls. And here is what I put inside……
It had to be those little speckled eggs didn't it? I wish I was on commission as I have recommended the eggs to so many people 😀
Don't forget that if you need any supplies, it would be a great opportunity to order before the end of March and grab yourself a freebie or two from the sale-a-bration leaflet……
Have a great day x
