So after an amazing day and a wonderful night at the museum, we had a rendezvous with the achievers at 10am the next morning. This hour was designed for swaps, this is when we all make something using Stampin Up supplies and swap with each other. So you go with 30 of one project and come home with 30 different ones. And OMG there were some wonderful projects and some very clever ladies……
Swaps can be a little frantic but this time we all stood in a circle and took it in turn s to walk around to all the group and give one of your swaps. I loved watching everybody….
And my swap box was getting more and more full of loveliness!
This is Kerry's box of swaps, they looked amazing I could not wait to get my sticky little mitts on one of them!
It was clear that everyone had given their swaps a great deal of thought and effort and in case it all got too much we could also have a sugar rush…..
I could not resist having my photo with Shelli, I am looking a little tired but nothing that an afternoon nap could not sort out.
Or ice-cream, Shelli and Stirling recommended a lovely place for ice cream and the outside temp was HOT HOT HOT so it seems like a lovely idea. We took a wander, shared some ice cream and then ventured off on our own to do some shopping.
With a little sightseeing thrown in for good measure. The sun zapped my energy and we told ourselves that we needed to drop our bags back at the hotel before more sightseeing which was fatal. Needless to say we had a snooze and were woken by drums and whistles….
whatever could it be? The Gay pride parade of course which went right past our hotel. I love people watching so this was perfect right from our hotel window. It was soon 8pm and time to meet to say goodbye to everyone in the group. We spend two hours, taking photo's, saying our goodbyes and of course eating desserts. I was so sad to see the trip come to an end.
So Sundays agenda was packing, more goodbyes, a quick stroll and then off to the airport. I don't know how we managed it but our flight home was business class and we were the only in the business class section. We did try and bribe the hostess and ask if our two buddies Jo & Julie could join us but they would not let them. They did take them a couple of bottles of champagne though which was lovely.
Simon's face cracks me up here, its like the cat that got the cream!! Clotted cream to be exact as we had warm scones and afternoon tea.
Trouble is, I am ruined now, no economy class flight will feel quite the same now. It was a perfect end to a perfect trip.
Almost back in good ole England and to see Dom & Amy and of course Pips. They were all pleased to see us, I think a break away does everyone good, don't you???
Thank you so much for stopping by, I will post photos of swaps and gifts really soon x
