I have been having a play with one of the free stamps sets from sale-a-bration and Stampin' Up! When I saw the sale-a-bration leaflet my immediate favourite was the stamp set madison avenue and the matching embossing folder. I love the contemporary feel of the designs, especially the stem and leaf pattern. I set to work and made the card using Summer Starfruit Ink to match the patterned paper (which is also a sale-a-bration freebie!). Once I got started I could not stop……
I wrapped a gift using the patterned paper and created a pleat in the paper before wrapping which means I could tuck the gift tag inside. I saw this on pinterest, such a cool idea! I made a matching gift tag and then went on to make more cards in different colour ways.
Can you see the leaf embossing on the background grey patterned paper?
Oops! I just noticed that the gem in the centre of the flower is on the wonk! These samples are very well travelled, they have been to Holland with me and I am notoriously heavy handed so the fact they got back to the UK in one piece is a minor miracle! And I also posted a photo of the inside of the card, I love decorating the inside to match too and does not take long as you have all the supplies and ink out anyway….
Here it is in Island Indigo
And Melon Mambo
and a little sneak of the inside….
And finally in Rich Razzleberry, which one is your favourite? I like the summer starfruit.

Love your cards Michelle. I can’t get enough of summer starfruit so that’s my favourite, I’m so not a yellow person normally but I love this shade!
Love your cards and that gift wrap sheet is so pretty. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Love the melon mambo the most but all are so pretty!
These are beautiful Michelle. I chose the Patterned Occasions set ‘cos I fell in love with the little elephant – wishing I’d chosen this set now! – Jacqueline xx
WOW, these cards are all so cute. Love the gift wrapping, especially the “pleat” to tuck the tag into! I will have to experiment with this. Cheers Donna Z 🙂
