I have the next installment for you……………
Buckle up, this could take some time!
So the convention experience came to an end on Saturday evening. And Kerry got her suitcase the day after we flew in {I know some of you were wondering :0)} so we were all good, tired but excited for the Incentive Trip to start.
We were being collected on Sunday morning at 11am to be taken the the St Regis Deer Valley
Some of the managers and Stampin' Up! employees had arranged for us to go along to a live broadcast of the Morman Tabernacle Choir which was unbelievable, such a grand scale and voices like I have only ever heard at a professional concert.
Such a beautiful start to a Sunday morning and we left feeling ready for a bit of pampering Stampin' Up! style at the St. Regis Deer Valley Ski Resort. We weren't disappointed either, the hotel was just gorgeous and we got to eat sweets and treats and hang out before our room was ready. I was checking my phone every 5 minutes as Simon was due to fly in from Paris and arrive mid afternoon. He arrived safe and sound but needed a snooze before the evening get together. So I took the opportunity to unpack our cases whilst looking at this wonderful view from our balcony..
Bliss…………………….
A quick shower and change and we all met for dinner in the courtyard of the hotel. There was such a buzz in the air and the tables were beautifully decorated.
What a fine bunch!
a delicious dinner and a little after dinner drink sat on the terrace overlooking the slopes
followed by a pillow gift for us both when we arrived back to our room. A black his and hers sweatshirt with a lovely stampin up motif!
The next day was a free day and some crazy person suggested white water rafting :0) Never one to turn down a chance to embarrass myself we jumped at the opportunity.
It
was so nice to travel down river for over 2 hours and drink in the
beautiful scenery. There were a few rapids thrown in for good measure
but no where near enough for the thrill seeking guys. I was more than
happy that I did not fall in, poor Amanda cannot say the same!
Hard at work and in the lead, well for a short time anyway.
Dicing with death :0) Luckily it was boiling so we got dry whilst eating our lunch and then headed back for a quite dinner in the hotel and an early night {I know what you were thinking but the jet lag was a killer}.
And guess what was waiting for me on my pillow, this lovely selection of Stampin' Up! goodies. Sweet dreams indeed.
The following morning was a short coach ride away as we were due to visit the Riverton Head Office of Stampin' Up! I was super excited to see this place. After seeing the offices on the Stampin' Up! I am video check it out here I could not wait to see it in real life.
And we were not disappointed.
All the staff had gathered on the
balcony in reception to cheer and clap as we entered the building. I
was not expecting that and got a little emotional, the company really do
value every employee and understand that its success it a team effort.
The whole office has Shelli's touch with antique display cases and the Legacy room which houses lots of samples, photo's and inspirational quotes.
There was even some humour from the lovely Rich Jutkins, Stampin' Up's Vice President.
The staff showed us how they gather together ideas to whittle down the selection for the new In Colours….
And I was SO jealous of the concept artists desks, look at all that product at their disposal. My dream job after being a demo :0) long commute though.
A display to show the images and the mag plate (template) which is what the rubber stamp is made from. I loved that set 'Heartfelt' I think it was called?
We then ventured into the warehouse where I recognised this lady from the I am video.
I wanted to ask for her signature but she would have thought I was a mad lady from the UK so I decided against it.
Look at all those boxes of products looking for a good home.
If you have watched the video you will be humming the song when you see the photo above.
And a lovely chap making the boxes to put all the goodies in, faster faster!!
Me and the rock, what can I say? Had to be done…
And how lucky was I that I caught both these ladies together
And this photo was taken from the legacy room and finishes off this blog post perfectly. Come back tomorrow for the next installment……
