Last weekend I was in Telford with over 300 UK demos sharing all things Stampin’ Up! It was a great day, I got to spend some time with my team who travelled far and wide to attend the event and we got lots of sneak peeks of what is in store for the coming months and new catalogue.
I organised a get together on the Friday with the leaders of my group before the event began on Saturday. It was the first time I have done this and it was so great to spend time with this great group of ladies.
We started with afternoon tea at a local hotel with lots of chatting and sharing and I made a little gift for their table places with something yummy inside from the Hotel du Chocolat.
I loved spending time with them as normally we are all spread tending to our own team/downline. We had a little gate crasher too! Look at Sarah’s 9 week old baby Sylvie, she was adorable and I loved having a cuddle. Not everyone was in the photos below, Peg also joined us but had to leave early.
After a very relaxed afternoon and a quick change we met up and took a taxi to a local Mongolian BBQ restaurant for dinner. It was time to kick back and relax and get to know one another a little better…. I missed having my leadership group from the Netherlands there with us but will be planning on spending some time with them when I visit for their training event in June in Houten. Perhaps one year we can all celebrate together? I hope that we can all spend some time as a group at the Annual convention in Brussels in October.
I have not been to a Mongolian BBQ since I lived in the States absolutely years ago so it was nice to try it again although I think I need a little help with the spice mixture! After a cocktail or two and some amazing desserts it was time to head back for a relatively early night ready for the fun day ahead tomorrow at the Stampin Up training event.
Early starts and swaps in hand we headed off to what was a very happy, proud and busy day. It was wonderful to see lots of friends and make new ones. It was great to see employee’s from Stampin’ Up from the UK, Germany and the States too and the presentations and creative WOW’s were just brilliant. Everyone did a great job including some of my own team members who did me proud…. Well done to Sam and Traci who both did presentations, well done to Lucy who did a product demonstration and the lovely Tracy, Paula & Sam all got some new products to make lots of samples to inspire us and inspire us they did! Now I cannot share photos of this just yet as the pre-order for new product has not started but I will share with you soon I promise!
But I can share with you my name badge and my swap card or a variation of my swap I made.
And I made swaps and team gifts using a variation on this card I made for the Cards for Keeps competition. We were asked to make a card and the winner would be selected by Shelli Gardner the co-founder of Stampin Up and the chosen card would be auctioned off on ebay to raise funds for Coram and amazing charity for creating better chances for children.
My card wasn’t selected but a lovely card by Helen Read was the worthy winner….
So all in all a wonderful weekend, spent with wonderful people and lots of inspiration and ideas to go home with, what more could you want? Thanks Stampin’ Up for another great event!
