Oooh I had lots of fun making this card. When I saw the sketch I instantly thought of this stamp from Stampin’ Up! called From my Heart.
I reached for some patterned paper from Modern Medley (retiring) as the background and created a tag focal point on the front using the Angled Tag Punch. I needed something to go across the middle but nothing looked right and I did not have any black/grey ribbon which was thick enough so can you see what I did??
I coloured the beautiful whisper white organza ribbon with a smoky slate marker pen! It worked like a charm, dried almost instantly and left no blending marks or lines.
Be warned though, I left the completed card on the window sill in the sun and the sun bleached the ribbon so keep it out of sunlight to preserve the colour!
What a great tip, you can buy the whisper white ribbon and colour it any colour you like!
It is an exciting week over at Stamping&Blogging as we have a new design team member with more creative ladies from all over the globe joining us soon too! Today we welcome Claire Daly from Australia, she is a wonderfully talented crafter and a lovely lady too as I spent some time with her on the cruise so pop on over to see what the other ladies have made and get inspired!
