Good morning! Hope everything is tip top in your world.
I have had an idea to use the hardwood stamp as a picture frame for a while now and decided that this sketch was perfect as it made me think of a picture frame hanging on the wall so I set to work to make the frame. I stamped soft suede ink using the Hardwood stamp onto crumb cake cardstock. To be honest it was rather a hurried attempt and I think I could have engineered the frame a little better so don’t look too closely!
I stamped the branch and birds onto whisper white once I had coloured the stamp in using crumb cake, soft suede and chocolate chip marker pens. I then coloured the leaves using a versamark marker and heat embossed the leaves in gold embossing powder. I used a piece of DSP from the new Lullaby designer series paper and stamped the greeting on the front and inside using the Bravo photopolymer stamp set and Early Espresso Ink.
Perhaps I should look a little closer, I only just saw the ‘stamp the background’ instruction on the sketch – aaarggghhh!!!
Here is the inside…..
It seems I need a little practice with my new photopolymer set as its a bit wobbly, I think I pressed too hard! On the bright side, would be perfect for a slime or Halloween effect ;0)
And here it is close up….
I made the 6×6″ card blank using the new kraft cardstock, it is a lovely heavy weight cardstock in the same colour as the boxes Stampin Up sell, so perfect when a more sturdy card is needed. I cannot wait to have more time to play with the World of Dreams set from Stampin’ Up!
So why not pop on over to the wonderful design team and see if they followed the sketch more closely than I did!!

My eldest lad of 16 is 6’5″ It’s quite hilarious chastising someone who is that tall lol Cheers Donna Z 🙂
