Stampin’ Up! Epic Alphabet stamps using a sketch from Stamping&Blogging

July 16, 2014 By Michelle Last

Epic Alphabet from stampin up made by Michelle Last

Something a bit different today. The brief was to make a masculine card.  So with slight trepidation I set to work and before I knew it, the card was complete – love it when that happens.  I have been struggling with TMS (Too much stuff) since the delivery from the new catalogue arrived but I think this card cured me!

I was itching to use the epic alphabet photopolymer stamps and I would normally line all the letters up on a clear block and stamp all at the same time but the letters were too far apart.  So I used some washi tape to stamp in a straight line (see below) and stamped the letters individually with Staz On ink.  It is so easy to peel off the washi tape once you are done!  As they are completely clear it was so easy to line up the letters and then I fussy cut around the whole word.  I need a little practice with my fussy cutting but oh well……

washi tape straight line

I added the ‘hey’ sentiment from the Hi There stamp set and I loved the sentiment hey dude, it reminded me of a Beatles song and then I found the perfect sentiment for the inside….

Made me chuckle as I love to think of myself as such a cool mum, my kids on the other hand wholeheartedly disagree with me!!

I nearly forgot the sketch….

Hi Michelle, I love this card. We are truly a family of females! When it comes to those two males, I feel they are always left in the dust. They get such generic cards. This card is fabulous and I’m sure my soon to turn 13 nephew (July 24) will love this. Thanks for the hint of stamping each letter separate. 🙂
