It is that time of the week when I am inspired by a sketch from Stamping&Blogging and share what I made and we hop around to see what the other design team members have also made.
You may know I recently got back from convention and saw the one of the lovey Stampin Up staff, Brandi, sharing some cool techniques using the Stampin Up Blendabilities. It inspired me to make this card using the sketch below from Stamping&Blogging and I have this set sat here unused and thought I would try colouring the bird and the leaves.
I am by no means a master colourer, in fact I watch most other people and persuade myself not to even try as my attempts are sub-standard but do you know what I enjoyed it and not only that I like the result! I added some crystal effects to the berries to make them stand out too. I inked the edges of the stamped card and tag in early espresso ink which finished it off perfectly.
I hope that some of you may consider giving colouring using the blendabilities a go and that you may be inspired by my simple efforts. I know so many of you will create way more beautiful colouring but I am challenging myself not to quit just because its not as good as everyone elses. It takes practice so that is what I shall do….. practice!
Here is the sketch from Stamping& Blogging
And shall we see what the other wonderful design team members have created using the same sketch?
