Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We’re showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using new Stampin’ Up!® products that you can earn free during Sale-a-Bration. Simply use the
buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!
If you have arrived here from Jenny’s blog, welcome and a huge hello to you! I hope you are loving the new FREE products you can get with every £45 you spend! It is going to be an amazing Sale-a-bration and new Seasonal Catalogue launch on Tuesday 6th Jan!
Here is what I made with a stamp set called ‘Big Day’. I was inspired by a card from last year from Becky Roberts. It has 5 stamps and you can choose wood or clear mount and you can’t buy it, you can only get it free if you place an order for £45 between 6th Jan – 31st March.
I heat embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder which made the sentiment pop!
I added a sentiment inside and the cake and candle in the background of the sentiment.
You won’t recognise the paper I used for the bunting either, it’s just lovely and I cannot wait to share more projects I have made with this paper stack.
I used the good old Hardwood background stamp to create the wood effect, added some inking and some dry embossing to make the easel look realistic and tied some linen thread bows to finish off the bunting.
You will be seeing lots of beautiful things made with the free sale-a-bration items and some new things too so take you time to hop around and get inspired and be making those wish lists ready for Tuesday 6th Jan! Let me know if you would like me to post a copy of the new catalogue to you.
So next stop is Anne-Marie from the Netherlands, make sure you don’t miss a thing and do a complete circuit and have a great Saturday….
And see you back here on Monday for more inspiration and lots to tempt you with….
Fabulous card as ever Mrs L – and one I will definitely be using for inspiration x
Love it! Love the stamp.
Eveline.
Beautiful card!
Totally agree with Mrs D – fab card and definitely going to be one to CASE (even if you were on the naughty step for using some product you shouldn’t have!) Nx
Fabulous card Michelle. Love it
How did you make the art easel from Jan 3,2015. I love it. Thank you
Hi Michelle, love your card, so original. I’ve never heard of dry embossing…how do you do this? x
It is simple my sweet, the name is far more fancy than the technique. It is simply using a tool with a round end (like the one with the simply scored tool) to emboss paper using a template or (I’m showing my age now…) a brass stencil. I simply lined up the stamped lines of the woodgrain with my simply scored tool to score a channel to add texture and dimension 🙂
This card is simply adorable!
Love the card Michelle! Thought the easel was wooden at first! Very clever! X
thanks Anne, lovely to hear from you and glad you like it. Happy New year to you and your family xx
Hi Michelle, love your card! Never tried this ‘model’ but now I have to.
