Today’s card was inspired by a sketch from Stamping&Blogging. I am a design team member for this weekly sketch challenge and love having guidance of a layout for my card. This week I was itching to use the new stamp set from the Spring & Summer seasonal catalogue called ‘From the Herd’.
It is such a fun set and the sentiments are not only useful but fun too! I had a little colouring in session with my blendabilities and coloured the background with soft sky (the lightest blendie) so as not to detract from the adorable characters in the image.
The cows head was too large to fit in the 1 1/4″ circle punch so I drew a pencil line around the parts which would fit and hand cut the parts to protrude the circle punch. I stamped the inside too and used up the left over piece of the top note die cut….
It made me laugh as it looks like a giant speech bubble for the animals – I wonder what they would be saying?
I did use a bit of artistic license which you will see when you see the sketch below. I added grass using the fringe scissors and the sentiment in part of the top note die is supposed to be the banner on the sketch 😉
So lets go and see what the other design team members have made using the same sketch…
