I made a card for this weeks sketch challenge using the new Butterfly Basics stamp set from Stampin’ Up! and the matching framelit dies. I don’t normally use blue hues but I love the way it turned out. Blue is a good description of my mood at the moment as we are having building work and it is getting close to the end and very intense, if you scroll down you will see what I mean………….
I used the Night of Navy Designer series paper stack for the spotty background and then stamped the lovely modern leaf image from the Crazy About you stamp set. And can you believe this is the first time the butterfly has been inked up from the Butterfly Basics stamp set!
I heat embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder (the sentiment is from Butterfly Basics also). I made a fancy edge on the sentiment strip using part of the apothecary accents framelit too. Pretty quick and simple but just what was needed.
Here is the sketch I used –
And here is what the other ladies made this week using the same sketch –
Sandi MacIver -USA
Amy Koenders – USA
Lee Conrey – USA
Claire Daly – Australia
Caroline van der Straaten – Netherlands
Marine Wiplier – France
Shelagh Freemantle – Canada
Kerstin Kreis – Germany
Patrice Halliday – Larsen – New Zealand
And here is why I am feeling a little blue…………
I know it will be worth it, just in that awful phase of dust and dirt everywhere and no kitchen facilities but hopefully no long now..

Your card is stunning even if you are “blue” and that kitchen is going to be amazing all sparkly and new!… Keep your chin up my friend – it all WILL come to an end!…
Beautiful Care Michelle….Hope things get settled for you! Hugs!
This is just beautiful Michelle!! You need to use blues more often. 🙂 Hope that your kitchen is done quickly…never any fun to have one of the main rooms in your house torn apart!
HI Michelle
Love how your hob is being held up with a workmate, must make cooking an adventure. Is that Pippi in the background?
Hope it gets finished soon and you lose the blues.
