I made a valentine card using an unexpected stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I bet you cannot guess which stamp set I got the sentiment from?
I used the happy heart embossing folder to emboss part of the card front as per the sketch below and then simply stamped the sentiment from the Build a Bouquet stamp set. I did double stamp the sentiment in Smoky Slate and then using the stamp-a-majig I stamped it again in black to create a shadow effect. I punched out some hearts using the confetti heart border punch and added some rhinestones.
Can you see my little mail box? I bought it from Target for $1 whilst I was in the States, how cute is that? I knew I would only use it once or twice but at $1 I could not resist.
I bought quite a lot of other stuff too! I even visited the Container store which is my idea of heaven but left there empty handed as there was just no more room in my case! This was the stuff from my case which was not clothes and toiletries……
Here is the sketch which inspired me –
So lets go and see what the other lovely ladies have been making with the same sketch…

Hi Michelle, I just love your card how did you emboss it partially with the happy hearts embossing folder? It looks beautiful, hugs Lindsey
I cut the pieces first Lindsey and then embossed them which is why there is a pink strip of paper to hide the cut lines x
Simply beautiful Michelle! The double stamped sentiment is beautiful and the colors that you used are perfect! Love the two panels of embossed hearts too. You brought home quite a load! Hope that you had a great time at Leadership. 🙂
A perfect Valentine card Michelle !
once again, absolutely stunning card and that little mail box is da bomb – I can see why you trucked it across the pond, LOL…
I so love this Michelle. It’s so up my alley white and soft with texture. Beautiful!
I absolutely love this card! I want to buy this stamp set so bad, but I think I’d only use the sentiment (can’t see myself using the other stamps) and I can’t justify spending that much money to stamp a card or two for my hubby. It’s so tempting though…
Surely he is worth it Trica 🙂
So beautiful and really portrays the sentiment!! Love the way you arranged the photo as well. Thanks…hugs from Shelagh.
Sweet card and super sweet mail box Michelle !! What you can do with “Build a Bouquet”sentiment….
hugs Diane xx
PS I want to know what’s in all those other parcels then ??
ha ha nothing too exciting Diane, just bits and bobs and lots of free stuff from leadership. I hope to blog more about it today so pop back to see more photos, great to see you on Wednesday x
You just made what was in my head at first with the embossing, but I was having a lack of time, so I made it easy on myself and used DSP for a change.
Love the clean and crisp, but yet subtile look of your card.
It’s just lovely as you are.
Now I know who bought those mailboxes just before my nose….there were only a couple left but not in good shape, so I left them there. They are just sooooo cute!!
x
