This is the final card from my recent technique class using the Sheltering Tree stamp set from Stampin’ Up! which was inspired by a card from Sarah Levin. It’s a shaker card and it was great fun making these.
We used the little snowflake stamps in the sheltering tree stamp set to create the background on the NEW Tip Top Taupe cardstock. We punched out a circle using the 2 1/2″ circle punch and added a square of window sheet to create the window.
We used the long strips from the Stampin’ Dimensionals (don’t ever throw these out as they are so useful!) and placed them tightly around the outside of the punched circle on the underside. A great tip is to dab the inside edge of the dimensional strips with an embossing buddy to make sure they are not sticky and that the sequins won’t stick to the inside edge.
We added some sequins and layered over the stamped background image. Then you can shake away to your hearts content!
A simple glimmer heart coloured with a pool party marker was all that was needed on the inside.
Make sure you pop back tomorrow as our team are doing a Blog Hop using new products from the newly launched Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. I can’t wait to see what everyone has made, I will be popping in from Madeira to be amazed!
