This is one of the cards we made at my monthly technique class using the Watercolour Wings stamp set.
I stamped the butterfly on the edge of the card with the wings touching the edge of the card blank so that I can cut around the wings. I used Soft Sky & Lost Lagoon and basic black. I also cut out the butterfly in vellum and secured it with a glue dot. I then added the subtle patterned paper to the inside which gives a constast to the butterflies and makes then stand out a little more.
A final flourish of sequins and linen thread and a sentiment and the card was done! I used the heavy weight whisper white cardstock too which is just perfect for single layer cards.
