Last weekend was Bekka’s birthday a fellow Stampin’ Up! demo and one of her dear friends came up with a great idea for all her friends to make a layout so that she could create an album to celebrate her birthday and have a keepsake as well! Bekka loves butterflies and so I had to use the Fluttering Embossing folder in the annual catalogue.
I wanted the butterflies to pop a little more so I decided to ink the embossed image using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. I was so happy with the result I created a video (see below) to share the Inking an embossed image technique so you can all try it. And there is a little sneak peek of a gorgeous new embossing folder coming in the new seasonal too, its called Woodland and is 6×6″ and is £7.75.
I made sure that I had a photo taken with Bekka whilst on the Stampin Up Incentive trip to Madeira and set about incorporating butterflies (her favourite). It all started with the Fluttering embossing folder. It is 6×6″ and I had to cut it down to fit my page of 6 x 8″ to fit the Espresso Project Life Album. I used the typeset speciality designer series paper for the background and punched the bunting using the Pretty Petals Designer Series paper stack.
I then added a flap with the note hidden on the underside of the photo…
And adhered it with wash tape. I really hope Bekka enjoyed looking through her pages of her special album.
So here is how to create this technique, I really hope you give it a try!
Here are the products I used to make this page and if you place an order please do not forgot to add a hostess code (shown top right) to receive a free thank you gift from me!
