It is Monday and time again for another card made using a sketch this time from the Global Design Project Challenge. I thought that the circle element would be perfect for one of our wreath stamp set and chose the Circle of Spring set (even though it is Autumn! – goes to show that a stamp set is for life not just for Spring!).
This is not a usual colour palette for me but I wanted to try something a little different. It is easy and very therapeutic to colour in the wreath and I used Calypso Coral, Watermelon Wonder, Blushing Bride, Wild Wasabi & Pear Pizzazz. I used a combination of our markers and a blender pen and added three of the larger flowers and cut those out by hand.
I had some White 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon but I really wanted Daffodil Delight. But the wonderful thing is that when you have white ribbon you can have any colour you want! I simply coloured the ribbon on both sides with the large tip of my Daffodil Delight marker. I dries super quick too! I used the matching frailest to cut out the wreath and added some rhinestones. The background paper is from the Pretty Petals DSP Stack. I added a cute flower and sentiment on the inside and it was complete!
This is this weeks sketch and I really encourage you to play along this week. It was a really easy sketch to use and I can’t wait to see what you talented bunch come up with. Pop over to the Global Design Team Challenge Blog and follow the directions on how to add your entry.
