This is another project from my customer day. We made a hand stamped candle jar and stamped the outside with StazOn and the snowflakes from the Wonderland Stamp Set.
Some of the ladies stamped more snowflakes than I did and it looked lovely. I did try experimenting and stamped some other images but the jar had a curve to it which made it hard getting a good stamped image. If you could find nice straight edged jars you could stamp all sorts of things!
Pip and I went foraging for pine cones and greenery but the pine cones needed some glitter. We used heat and stick powder and the dazzling diamonds glitter which worked perfectly. We rolled the pine cones in the versa mark ink pad then covered in heat and stick powder and heat embossed. Once the powdered glue had become wet and shiny we dipped them cones into the glitter and quickly re-set with the heat tool again!
We did the same with the wooden snowflake and attached it with a glue gun. We tied the crochet trim and silver cord around the rim and it was ready to use.
I am making these in various sizes as a centre piece for my dining table at Christmas time. They look beautiful lit too.
Why not give it a try?
