You may have heard me mention I spent last weekend with my team in the Netherlands. I attended two team trainings and at one of the events we were challenged to make something with 5 items only. We had to bring our three favourite ink pads and use those and then we had to dip our hand in a box and blindly choose a stamp set to work with. I was very happy and relieved that I chose Sheltering Tree. It is so versatile and one of my favourites.
So I set to work, we were give one sheet of whisper white and one sheet of crumb cake card stock and an hour and a half….
I had previously used this stamp set for a lovely autumnal card and used the same layout but as I was in Holland I had to stamp the bicycles as they are everywhere you go.
I stamped the blossom on the tree in Soft Sky and Pool Party and then stamped in versa mark and embossed in gold to add a more texture and colour. I had a few items left to use so I decided to make the Bakers Box with the thinlits dies. It is a great size box and looked lovely once it was stamped to match the card. I especially love how the tree falls on two sides of the box.
Lastly some of the pretty Sahara Sand Lace Trim and it was complete. I was rather chuffed with the result and the cards that everyone else made were lovely too! Here was all are holding our creations….
So the sun is shining, work is done for the week and we have a weekend ahead of us. I hope you have a great weekend and try and pop by my blog at the weekend as we have a Pinkie Blog Hop to celebrate World Card Making Day tomorrow.
