This weeks challenge was hard for me! I really struggled to put these colours together and made a couple of cards which were destined for the bin before I went simple.
I stamped the background butterfly off first to get a lighter shade of the Watermelon Wonder so that the centre detail showed up on the watercolour wings stamp.
It was so simple but it needed a little something as a greeting so I stamped the you are so kind on a piece of vellum. I had to do some fancy positioning to stamp the greeting so that the butterfly could nestle in between.
I used several post it notes to exclude part of the greeting. I also inked the edges of the butterfly in Tip Top Taupe Ink and added an In Colour Blossom Accent to add some dimension.
Make sure you visit the Global Design Project Challenge Blog to see what the super talented design team came up with and please enter the challenge this week and prove to me that this colour combo really isn’t that difficult!
Here is what I used to make this card (and don’t forget the post it notes!!) –

Michelle – This is such a great way to showcase this butterfly – the big pop of color is right there in the middle of the card. I love how you split the sentiment across the banner. I always love seeing your projects, Michelle. Such beauty.
