Today’s card is inspired by a Love theme. I have had a super busy week as I was in the Netherlands last weekend spending time with my Dutch team. It is my parent’s Wedding Anniversary today so I tried to create a card for theme using the Global Design Project‘s weekly theme.
My parent’s have been married for 58 years, which is an incredible achievement and we know that after all these years it is not all hearts and champagne. So I decided to make a card for their anniversary which was not traditionally pink/red and hearts.
I was inspired by a card made by Geri from Paper Wishes, Delicate and pretty, just what I was going for and it was missing something until I added that fine metallic gold trim, seriously, how something so fine and delicate can add so much is beyond me!
I managed to catch a glimpse of the sun in this photo and I love how it made the gold leaves (using the bird punch) glow. The delicate flowers were die cut from the new Blooming Heart Thinlit Dies from the FREE Botanical Gardens Vellum.
The sentiment is from one of the most popular sets in the new seasonal catalogue called Number of Years – very apt don’t you think?
Here is the theme for this week. That is right simply make a project using the theme of LOVE. I would love you to join this weeks challenge. Simply make a project using the LOVE theme and visit the Global Design Project to see the other design team member projects and also get the instructions on how to upload your own project, you could be one of the lucky winners selected at the weekend!
