Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We’re showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin’ Up!® Spring/Summer Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!
If you have arrived here from Xandra’s blog a huge welcome to you!
I hope you have had a chance to look through the new Spring & Summer Catalogue and pick out one or two favourites already. I have chosen to use the In The Meadow stamp set from page 28.
I heat embossed the flowers on watercolour paper with clear embossing powder. I then inked up my clear block E (8.7cm x 11.3cm) with soft sky and pear pizzazz ink and spritzed with a water spray. I then stamped it on the watercolour paper and left the ink soak in to create the background.
The ink does not stick where the embossing is so I then used a cotton bud/q-tip to add ink on the flower heads in rich razzleberry and blackberry bliss. I added Old Olive and Garden Green to the stems.
I then stamped around the edges of the watercolour paper with sahara sand ink and the wonderful new Timeless Textures stamps to give it an aged/vintage look. I then save it a final spray of water to make the flowers blend and bleed a little.
The sentiment is from You’re so lovely. I added some torn patterned paper to the sides and mounted it on some new DSP. I absolutely loved this technique so I set about making some more, here is another one I created. I went for a less fussy background.
Which do you prefer?
This time I used the sentiment from Birthday Blooms and inked the edges with crumb cake ink and the stamp from Timeless Textures.
I have another of this style card but I will post that in a day or two. It is time to go and see what the lovely Pinkies have made for you. Next stop is Catherine’s blog. Enjoy hopping and thanks for joining us today!
