Something a little different today. It seems that lots of Amy’s friends are passing their tests at the moment and with Amy taking her test in 4 weeks I thought I had better get a card ready to celebrate passing your driving test.
I created the background by stamping the tree and the road using the Sheltering Tree stamp set and then added clouds using a punch out from the tree builder punch and sponged with Soft Sky Ink. I stamped the car image from the Beautiful Ride stamp set onto patterned paper and cut it out. The wheels were cut out separately onto white cardstock and stuck to the wheel arches.
I used the word window punch to create a channel across the base of the card and using dimensionals I cut a strip of cardstock which fit between the dimensionals and would slide in and out so that when you pulled the bakers twine the car moved across the card!
And guess what I made 6 of these for swaps for our team event last weekend….
I stamped the xoxo on the blue which is revealed when you pull the slider open and added congratulations to the white slider.
