I have a 50th Birthday card to share with you today using the Number of Years Stamp set from Stampin’ Up!
It is the weekly Global Design Project Challenge and this weeks challenge is a sketch. I attended a 50th Birthday party last weekend and decided to make the card for my cousin using the sketch. As it was for a man, I had to stop myself adding flowers and butterflies (that is really hard for me to do that) and this is the result!
I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest to create the watercolour background and just did it to be honest. I did not have time to experiment, I just sprayed the watercolour paper with lots of water and then dropped some drops of ink refill onto the watercolour paper and sprayed again, whilst dabbing with tissue to remove excess water and this is how it turned out!
I added the silver stars and some silver thread…
The diagonal edges were created by adding strips of washi tape.
Let’s hope my cousin likes it 🙂
So why don’t you pop on over to the Global Design Project and make your own card using this sketch, we would love you to join us this week.
Here are the items I used to create this card, simply click the images to go direct to my online shop and place an order. And if your order is £20+ or less than £150 please use the monthly hostess code to receive a free thank you gift from me.
