Today’s card is a theme challenge card for the Global Design Project #GDP031
I reached for a beautiful hostess stamp set from Stampin Up called Best Thoughts. You may not be aware what a hostess set is? It is a subsidised set which is only available to hostesses or to people who place an order for £150+.
It is one of the rewards and you can choose to spend your hostess rewards on any current catalogue items including the exclusive hostess sets at the back of both catalogues.
Every year the hostess sets change so I know that very soon this set will be due to retire so I wanted to do it justice one last time.
It reminds me of one of my favourite flowers, Hydrangeas. I coloured the whole flower with pool party ink using an aqua painter and then shaded the centre of the flowers with Bermuda Bay. It wasn’t quite dark enough so I used my blender pens to add a brighter shade Tempting Turquoise.
I heat embossed the flowers onto whisper white cardstock with clear embossing powder and then coloured in-between the flowers with a sponge and crumb cake and soft suede ink. The leaves were coloured with Always Artichoke and Mossy Meadow.
I stamped the sentiment using the Fabulous Four stamp set onto Early Espresso cardstock and embossed in white.
I distressed the edges and was really happy with the result. But I bet you are dying to see what the other talented design team members have made using the theme below – Pop on over to the Global Design Project and see the other projects and also please join us this week and upload your own card as we love to see what you make.
If you place an order via my online shop please remember to use the hostess code if your order is £20+ and less than £150. If you order is £150+ you will receive the hostess rewards to spend as you wish and you could even use them to get the Best Thoughts Stamp Set for free!

I love seeing a vintage type card from you, it is quite different from your usual style and you have done it beautifully. I am going to miss so many things from this catalogue, this set for one, and Mossy Meadow for another! Great to see a last hoorah!
Great way to make the sentiment stand out against that beautiful background. Another amazing card, Michelle.
